So I guess I’ll discuss the actual figure since I’ve messed with him for awhile. First off, He’s HEFTY. Lots of diecast and it feels really good. Little wary of paint chipping on some parts but I think he should be ok. His robot mode is beautiful, has most of the articulation you want. The wings are huge when fully spread. They’re a little too heavy for the joints in some positions. Also the chicken mode is a beast, surprisingly large and with the splayed wings is really intimidating 9/10 highly recommend.

    Words fail me.

He's incredible, in person. I can't even process it.

No offense, I have owned MMC Hex. It does not even compare. Also I own a ton of FT products.

It's definitely good, great even, but I'll come back to this in a moment.

I don't own Hex, never really had a desire, but I've owned MMC's other items such as their Sixshot, their Hoist and their Mirage. Great build quality per part, but the assembly of those parts is where the issue lies. Mirage, for sure, had a wonky front wheel, Hoist didn't want to stay together in either mode and was more or less floppy in robot mode, and Sixshot was by far the best of the three I owned. He was a new level of toy for me.

This is definitely a better figure than any of the ones I mentioned and I like MMC a lot. This is still better.

As for FT? I'm going to say FT is still better than this. This isn't bad, by any means, but there are some off things about it that aren't quite FT level for me.

    Pros:
I love the range of motion. Pop out shoulders and hips in beast mode, shoulders in robot mode, articulated fingers, and hands, etc. (The beast neck is BAUS.)

    The colors POP.

The paint is surprisingly excellent with no flaws that I've seen, so far. (Every figure has at least some flaw in the paint, somewhere. I've yet to find his.)

The weight and build are incredible. I was not ready for this figure. Like, at all. (Wow!)

    Cons:
While there's a place for everything, the shield/wing combo leaves a little to be desired. While it's nice they serve a dual purpose. The way they peg in is asymmetrical and it drives me NUTS.

The Breastmaster (and the upcoming one) had his weapon mode gutted. No handle to form blaster mode (even though his tail is clearly the barrel of a GUN) and it killed some of the functionality that the G1 original had. To me, that's a setback, not a positive. (It adds to the play value, even though this isn't for kids.)

The one leg is too tight to swivel at the thigh and the post coming out of the pelvis to form the hip has too much give and I know that if I force the swivel, the leg is going to snap clean off and I'd rather lose that point of articulation than to lose the figure or time waiting for a replacement.

The screw covers (the aforementioned thigh, for example) cover up everything and if I wanted to fix the leg (I do) I could, but I can't because they covered it all up too well.

I do think the price is just a tad bit high. I think $20.00 less would've been perfect, but I'd have been fine with even $10.00 off. It's just enough over the line that I just had to say something. I know, I've spent more on worse, admittedly, but I felt a need to say something.

All in all, I do think it was a worthy purchase and I think it'll work well in my CHUG collection (he's not quite MP scale, he should be larger I'd think) and he looks amazing, period. I'm just a tad disappointed in some areas that I wasn't expecting to be. I think the give and wobble of some parts and the feeling of "If I push it, this is definitely going to break..." was surprising and disconcerting to some degree.

I do recommend it, I can't compare it to other Planet X offerings as this is my first one, but it's definitely worth a purchase. Plus, I think it's great that this one figure can be either IDW comic or G1 toy accurate, unlike MMC and their requirement to buy TWO figures (basically two sides of the same coin) to replicate what this one can do.

I certainly don't feel buyer's remorse, I just think it's a bit more than I'm comfortable spending when there's this much give on a figure this size.

well it's my opinion, to me Issy feels like a MMC product to me, it feels like Commtus, and Nero Rex and Kultur and Hex all the MMC figures i own that i enjoy their quality, you might not agree and i respect that but MMC and MT is the height of my build quality bcuz you know i don't buy MPs, i'd also say it's as good quality wise to PE Mega Doragon since i didn't have any of the loose issues some others had FansHobby Red Dragon as well

Hello! I’m on the fence between this guy and MMCs version. There is one thing I want to see so can anyone please post a few pics with Ismenios in beast mode with CHUG figures and MPs? Thank you.

Trying to pose Ismenios's alt mode the typical tail-dragging deathsaurus fashion doesn't do the figure justice. He shines so well in a more when hunched over. I have a few nags with the figure, but I have very few complaints about the alt mode.

This is just the kind of pic I was looking for!

just preordered this guy, along with the upgrade kit (mostly for the 2nd breastmaster) and kadmos. I’m assuming both breastmasters can’t be stored at the same time like the original?
