Hard to fill that gap even if you added a flat surface to the hinge. There's no contact occurring there.

Darn. So we're back to pinning it shut completely or trying to stiffen the joint up with Future?

The joint is fairly stiff honestly. It simply can't hold that hinge all the way tight against the pelvis under pressure.

But yeah it seems on pinning it or similar.

Yep, your pictures seal it. That's the problem. I wonder, if Dream Factory were made aware, if they'd do something to fix that in another run of the figure.

Dunno. I'm trying to work out an easy, repeatable (for others) way to fix it for now though. Some added material on the pelvis sides where the hip armature folds in might do it. Another idea is making a sturdy plastic or metal lock that rotates over the folded armature at the bottom of the pelvis. Shooting for a solution that makes it transformable still. I'll post up ideas later tonight hopefully after a run to hardware store and the Lego Movie 2 with the kids. :D

Didn't make it to the hardware store. It's bitter cold here and roads are still icey so we just came home after the movie.

Still going to see what I have on hand that might work but I may not have any useful ideas until tomorrow night now...

I wonder if perhaps somehow extending the side torso fillers downward would potentially hold the wibbly bits in place... They're almost close enough already.

Good thought but I doubt it'd work. The problem is that it needs to be held down near the bottom below the hip joint to be effective...

Somehow i feel they purposely design the hip that way. To give more natural pose. It feel loose when you lift up but it doesnt affect the poseability. The ratchet outward movement is too wide though

I did a simple and unsophisticated fix and it works. I taped the folded armature (red circles). The downside is a small part of the tape can be seen in alt mode, and I may try taping the inside of the armature (red square) to avoid that. Don't really care as I have no plans to display the alt mode. There is still some play within the ratchet joints but the crotch is secured and megatron stands much better now. :)

Nice. If I can't do something better that's the route I'm planning on.

This is what I used. I applied a few layers until the crotch feels secured.

I thought I saw a notice on their site that they won't be shipping anything until after the 12th?

    EDIT:

Ok I do see that they have updated their site saying they are back and technically it already is the 12th for them...

I emailed them about it; They said that their stock would come in after they got back to work, I.E. now.

Remember that they're running a big operation with two warehouses. Just because they've started work again doesn't mean they'll have everything fulfilled instantly. They'll have a lot of orders made before and during CNY to ship before they start cracking open boxes of new arrivals and sending out invoices.
