I really want the gold one but have never seen it sold anywhere that's worth buying from and not lubing up for customs fees.

 

I want some articulated hands and to paint the windows black. Haven't found any hands or even an way to adapt the mushrooms. I may need to hit up somebody with a 3d printer to make an adapter that will work on hobby base hands

I did see pre-orders at the time (always combined with the blue one I didn't want) and then suddenly he was sold out everywhere or only at places that are guaranteed customs target.

So finally after what seems like multiple KO of MP bumblebee and a gold reissue of TW Bio, I finally got the yellow version which apparently has been reissued.

Surprisingly the box was way smaller than I anticipated !! The yellow seems much duller than in pics and videos !! But I can't say for sure without seeing an original release to compare. Also the QC on this version is horrific and alot of it won't tab in place or is quite loose. Mine actually falls forward if I don't balance the legs in a particular way.

But all in all, glad I was able to get him at a decent price. The one thing I had to do was replace his head with the MGT bumblebee release which I personally love more than the official face !!

 

It's a shame that they didn't use those transparent windows for the standard yellow version.


It's also a shame that they didn't put a Glyph head on the blue version.  

 

After seeing Takara’s new MP Bumblebee I’m thinking ToyWorld should dust off the old Bii mold give it a premium finish, a new head, and reissue.

 

The value of Toyworld Bii just went up.

Even though I still really like my Bii, I’d buy a reissue with a new head, transparent windows and tighter tolerances.

I do not foresee myself buying MP45. Just looking at his back and feet is exhausting, much less actually having to deal with that nonsense in hand. I love the chibi alt mode, though Bii does it better.

 

Still love my Glyph, and really wish that MMC would just repaint their Cliffjumper into Tapout already....


Also, I still want a glyph head.

 

IMO Bii 2 Takara 0 . I still love my Bii more than the two Takara offerings.
It’s kinda a shame though because I really wanted either a + addition OR a better/new mold. I’m pretty positive I won’t be getting MP45. As much as it’s improved it’s as much a step backwards IMO.

Agreed. I don't understand why Takara/Tomy didn't just go buy a bunch of Bii's and give them to their designers with orders of "give me this but better"....?

 

I bought this guy quite a while ago; I saw him listed on Uncle Billy’s eBay page, and even though I had heard nothing about him previously I took a chance because the price was right. I received him, loved him, and even though I felt like he was a perfect Bee I still never heard anybody speak of him. Regardless, I’ve never felt compelled to buy another G1 Bee since I got him and I’m glad he’s low-key gotten the respect he deserves from those that gave him a shot.

 

Hopefully TT Bee 2.0 will get a good quality, retooled KO that does away with the stupid car door gimmick.

 

This figure is my choice for Bumblebee.
My biggest gripe with him is the rear window assembly is hard to re-attach if (when) it pops off

 

Here's a decent looking parts Bii on ebay for $30 or best offer missing a few parts but still looks good in alt mode.
