Oh wait I get it!! So I’m thinking the circled panels with both set flush with each other. The hinges are definitely there for it to happen. That way if you have his waist to where the swivel/crunch isn’t in the way his back will be flush and more or less straight (with a bit of a butt flap) but when you want to pose him the bottom circled set of panels will flare out a bit and give his hips room to waist swivel.

So basically isn’t not mistransformed, whoever posed it just turned his hips too much and popped the panels out a bit and didn’t bother putting them back flush. That actually makes the most sense now that I’m thinking that way.

they just haven't shown it off yet, look at his waist, it clearly splits down the middle, it wouldn't need to do that if he didn't have his super mode.

Further, this part I've highlighted seems to be the top of the small robot's chest, which differs from POTP Pax's and sure looks like the top of G1 Prime's chest:

Of course, there's also the actual front of the cab. If they figured out how to get the super mode's "chest windows' out of the way of the arms a G1 Prime could just use that instead of the fold down "fake chest" on the back, but I suspect they're just going to replace the arms, legs, head and chest.

This will mean the cab has three sets of front windows (one for each mode).

Well, I love the siege reveals. Those are the best reveals so far and I still will probably get them all. I have already given up on Beast Wars MPs because of the pricing, but I am glad fans are getting an MP release of her and she is seemingly very well endowed. I am sure she will be what, $250? Armada Prime looks great.

 

It truly is the year of the Primes and with fantastic looking figures too. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up announcing an Optimus Prime movie later this year.

MP Bee looks fairly good. The chest is far more proportionate and closer to the cartoon look. Though, not sure if the derpy looking head sculpt is a result of looking too much like the cartoon or what—it just looks off to me. As for the kibble management, I'd say it's really good and there's so much you can do get the right silhouette with all that alt mode junk.

It took me a bit to realize that Star Convoy is just an extensive retooling of Leader OP from POTP.  Clever, Hasbro.

 

Stoked about Star Convoy as another update hole gets filled but jeebuz, between him, Big Powered, Omega Supreme and Skyfire incoming and XPlus declaring all out WAR on my wallet with Orga, Mecha King Ghidorah, King Ceasar and at least a dozen Ultra Kaiju I want I’m almost glad Seige is a short line....

 

I agree that BWMPs have gotten nuts. It wouldn't surprise me if a future release hits $400 like MP-44. Especially if they do a bigger character than even Megatron like Rampage or Transmetal Primal.

 

Kind of glad I passed on power of the primes Optimus. I love grey prototypes these  looks extremely detailed and solid. That Armada Prime might require a second purchase for custom paint job. Also to note this is four different primes  we\'ve seen so far. Where just missing RID and energon versions of Optimus Prime. Not complaining about Armada but I\'m pretty much passing on on all the versions that we have so far. The Galaxy Convoy retool is still up in the air I have to wait to see what the figure looks in alt mode and the individual cabs robot mode. It would be funny if it came with a hot rod like the original one did
