Got mine from MT shop finally, and am glad - I've got nothing out of QC issues people reported: joints are tight and satisfying, maybe even too tight for fists and feet. Nothing popped off yet. Guess I've dodged a bullet somehow.

I've failed at tranforming this guy: just couldn't line up backpack assembly with leg panels to lock them in place. Is there a trick to how leg ratchets have to be setup for this? Is there a way to make sure backpack is all the way down?

 

If anyone gets one that's got no QC issues and transforms well and still doesn't want it, let me know. I'd like to have one of these guys that's not just for parts, but I don't want to play the 'open it to find out if it's crap' lottery again.

 

I've decided to pass on this guy. I don't feel like I need two versions of this mold and I think the Skywing deco is much nicer. If I get that one and decide that he's so great I need two, then I may come back and pick up Stealthwing, too.

 

gotta say I love mine. I'll try and get some pics up when i get my premium manus, but I don't like the white and red for comboing with the redand blue in pics. My black one sends a shiver down my spine when he is with my other bots. Totally have an idw starsaber vibe going on with this guy!

 

Anyone else having an issue getting the wings to sit flush in alt mode? Can’t get them to go down but I’m not sure what the issue is.

Why do they keep releasing the repaint first? I keep wanting to buy the original character color version, but i get tired of waiting, satisfied with pictures, then move on. They are doing a great job of eliminating hype and saving people money.

 

I mean, that does suck for you..... But other people (myself included) are more interested in the black deco. Either way someone has to wait, and to release them at the same time would probably lower total sales (be it ever so slightly) because people won't want to drop the money for both at once and then may get their interest peaked by something else.

Absolutely, thank you. I've set everything right from the start, but it seems like something in torso or backpack clip didn't push all way in. After lining up legs again I did some pressure on backpack where it clips to torso (this is important, thin plastic), something clicked and everything lined up perfectly.

 

yeah i've no issues with my Erebus or Noir so i have high hopes for Stealth

 

The plastic feels different than my erebus/noir. Still, I'm super glad I snagged this guy.

 

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but seeing your pictures has given me the incentive to find all the pieces of Stealthwing, find my Gorilla Glue, and put him back together again. Another 24 hours of curing and I'll try to transform him again using your pics for reference!  

 

The backpack panel is rather tight to get clicked down all the way I found and it not being where it needs to be is precisely what prevented me from being able to complete the transformation the first time. It needs to be at the right angle so the leg panels aren't being pushed up and away by it. But as others have pointed out it can be a bit tricky to get the arms and legs clicked in to just the right spots so everything aligns also.

 

The Gorilla Glue held, and I finally managed to finesse this guy into something resembling vehicle mode. Then I noticed that the pin on the slider on that leg flap that wasn't glued on properly is starting to walk out.

I can knock it back in of course, but at this point I'm slowly rebuilding the whole toy myself. I'm starting to feel like they may as well have shipped me the parts and a screwdriver. At least then the build problems would be my fault.

 

Not a bad idea, this could save me a lot of time to undo and fix the problem that the factory has done.

Somehow, his excitable nature and positiveness made the figure seem so solid and playable (except for the loose shoulder tab), giving me hopes that my copy would be as good as he had made it out to be. He's doing something different from other Chinese reviewers that I have seen for the chest armor combination (18minutes 15secs in)? He slid the inner piece in between Manus' abdomen gap before pegging on the outer cockpit.
