This whole thing has got me eager to do more customizing. I have Shapeways parts and ebay purchases on the way to make a few more customs with, and plan on going to Hobby Lobby this weekend to see if I can find some good paints for my airbrush [that has never actually been used... so gotta pull it out, too   ]. Tamiya masking tape should be arriving soon to give me crisper lines when painting and paint thinner to keep my paints from getting lumpy. It's becoming a whole thing.  

 

I know that feeling. Customizing is such a freeing thing. You can make whatever you want.

 

The Prowl head on mine sits nice and tight but, admittedly, mine might have gotten white paint on the neck ball joint when I was preparing the Jazz body.

 

It might just be certain copies. The important thing is that it’s the same size ball joint.

 

Actually, those first heads are based pretty explicitly on the original KP Autoroopers, as are the Rook/Alpha Bravo heads also offered in that store. I currently have a team of four Prowl!Troopers and two Rook!Troopers and can verify they look GREAT. There IS a more TFA-style Prowl-type 'Trooper head as well, but I'm having trouble locating him in my links ATM, I'll edit this post once I find it.

Right. I admit when I made that post I forgot the KP Autoroopers even existed. Still, I'm going for a more Transformers Universe style Autotrooper, though I admit the heads do look amazing and I'm considering just doing a hybrid with the Autorooper head on the Universe style body/color scheme.

 

Why not just cut the ears/antenna off? That would instantly change the feel of your autotroopers.

 

Have considered this. Just don't really have an easy means of cutting them off. I'll probably give it a try on a test figure later.

 

How do you know this? Anyway...

I'm working on getting a new head commissioned for my TFU Macro. If it works out well I will probably see about getting TFU Autotrooper heads in a second set of commissions, too.

 

I found out that about the TFWiki the hard way, and I hope the heads are ok.
