New Star Convoy shown at WonderFest?

    A friend of mine went to WF today, and he claimed seeing Takara Tomy showcased the grey prototype of a new Star Convoy.

    While no photo allowed, and he couldn't get a closer look.
    He thinks it might be a retool of Power Of The Primes Optimus Prime: "It has that same slipper feet."

    Maybe someone will post a picture tomorrow??

    A new LG-EX release in the same vein as the Big Powered set maybe?

    Sweet, I was hoping for either something like that or a new Encore release being announced.

    Interesting. I can't really see how PotP optimus could be retooled to star convoy, I am really looking forward to seeing how that is going to work.

    Huh, cool. Star Convoy or Star Saber would be cool. I'd probably go for the MP or other options if it's from the OpOp mold, I wasn't a huge fan.

    Bummer that the next LG-Ex release is an Optimus instead of the Autobot Targetmasters or something like that.
    But it's the way of the times apparently.

    I hope you're right, because the more I look at it the more I see Siege Leader Optimus and Siege Hound. Although Leader Optimus from Siege cannot be there since Hasbro hasn't revealed it first, they're saving that for Toy Fair. Even though the figure is already out there :lol

    If it's anything like their Galaxy convoy the armada prime is probably the base mode and the Star convoy is the combined mode.

    You say that but the last few wave of Takara pre-orders all had grey prototype images when the Hasbro ones were in full color.

    You're right of course, it makes no sense for Hound to be grey, this has to be a new LG-EX release, I'm just trying to soften my fall in case I'm proven wrong ;)
