I’m glad to see that the brand seems to be entering 2019 on a good note. The new movie was beloved within Hasbro if interviews are to be believed, the sales for Transformers are up, and it genuinely seems like everything’s up to snuff. When the company’s happy, the designers can be happy, and a happy designer’s figures always seems to make us happy.

The Combiner gimmick was fun for the first few waves of 2015, but then it started getting old real fast.
I fully agree the Dinobots would have been better without the combiner gimmick.

Cyberverse line came out during the entire fourth quarter while the Siege product was later in it's life and Studio Series had no significant releases during that time frame, specially worldwide. So the revenue increase being from Cyberverse and the Bee movie line is more likely than those other two lines.

I know it's often hard for people in these boards to understand, but cheap toys for kids tend to sell better at Walmart level than expensive toys aimed at adult collectors.

That sounds like a fucking terrible idea. Expecting an untested system to deal with the convention exclusive rush. On top of the scramble of people making new accounts.

Sounds like a clusterfuck waiting happen

Here is what I want to know about HasbroPulseShop.com, and not just for Transformers. Specifically, are they going to cater to the needs of the collector, as they keep using the word "curated", so I would hope so:
    1. Are they going to have pre-orders?
    2. Are they going to have a feature like "pile-of-loot" to save on shipping?
    3. Can we order figures separately are do we have to order the whole wave or even the whole case?
    4. If we can order individual figures, are they going to keep the price at the MSRP, or are they going to have an algorithm like Amazon has atomically adjusts the price due to high demand / low supply figures within a specific wave / case?

If you haven't guessed, I am so sick and tired of assorted case, wave distribution. It wastes a lot of my time, and I shouldn't have to pay a premium on the figures I want because of it, not in this day and age of online sales and higher percentage of collectors for the market. Let supply equal demand.

My thoughts exactly, and just like that we will go from their most loved fanbase to their most despised.

Very happy to hear both the toylines and the film are profitable for Hasbro. An unprofitable movie year would have been a detriment to the rest of the brand, whether one is a fan of the films per se or not. Not going to draw any conclusions about the future of the films or their direction from this, as all we have for now is speculation. But I do hope this will move them in a direction more fans can enjoy.

And I'm happy for the live action film series fans that their Transformers (for many, the movies are their G1 so to speak) isn't simply going to end outright. They have something to look forward to now. Which whether some like it or not, is important. Just abandoning that audience or trying to somehow funnel them towards other lines would risk losing a lot of potential fans.

Nice of them to specifically acknowledge TF fans as among their most important, too.

The POTP Terrorcons and Dinobots were awesome. Bumblebee and Travis Knight saved the franchise's future in movies. The dumpster fire of a comic series perished with a whimper and hopefully the new series will have more classic Transformers character and action.

    Looking forward to 2019.

    G1 keeps on G-winning.

Yeah, I wonder how many rightfully angered G1 fans bought an Aquaman ticket in order to watch those 3 minutes of G1-ish live action.

Can you imagine how amazing these threads would be if, at least for an hour (not a couple of minutes) we got to have the freedom to express ourselves without everyone getting butthurt over someone else's opinion and let them just say it, and since it annoys them just ignore it?You can’t, but we can. Because we have to imagine.

The Intro of the Bumblebee Movie wasn\'t trying to look Live Action it was very much a CGI cartoon - so it doesn\'t seem beyond the realms of possibility to make a Movie that looks somewhat like that - which is all CGI, But I think they know it would cost one heck of a lot to make and CGI cartoons only make a real tone of money if they are Pixar and the odd other sort.

So if they downgrade the look it would basically be TV animation if they can somehow fnd a way to do it slower and cheaper then that might be the way to go then if it only make 200 Million no one is going to have a blue fit - but it it make 800 million than all is great too.

Aquaman is basically a Cartoon with live action sequences so that does at least give some credance to making something like that and not being mocked for it.

Oh and I bet the Star Wars section of that talk is making some people flinch..
