That’s great to hear. I was lucky enough to see all of them on the big screen and have since watched them all except the last one a countless amount of times. I’ve only seen Crystal Skull four times but that’s mostly because there is way too much media these days. But still, I’d rather watch it again than most other movies out there so that says a lot.

Probably not really spoilers, but just in case.
I loved it, and it was such a perfect, amazing conclusion! I cried so much at the end.
My only thing is I felt the pacing was a bit... off? I dont know, I’ll definitely rewatch it again and my opinion will probably change, but that’s just how I felt after leaving the theater.

A well-made time travel movie. After watching this, I really thought about comparing this to Rian Johnson's Looper which came out 2 years prior and I think it is valid to bring that movie up. Looper is more of a personal journey for one character while this one deals more about a time paradox that making a statement about how we'd chase ourselves forever and end up in the same spot. I gotta say as much as Looper was fun to watch for a simple narrative point of view about a man is trying to change the future; this movie is far more challenging and complex.

It's really well-shot as well, I was really impressed with the way shots were filmed and framed to give focus to our characters and stuff. Ethan Hawke is a great actor, there's no doubt about it. I mean this is an Australian film and an actor like him decides that he really wants to star in it, which I give props to. Also, we have to talk about Sarah Snook who plays "Jane"/"John". I think this performance can be easily overlooked due to this film not being a major Hollywood film, seriously it's also surprising that this movie hasn't paved her career that strongly either which is a shame.

The one problem I found came to the point where the film continues to indulge itself in being subtle and twisty for the shake of being philosophical. Which for a first time viewing can make you think whether or not this movie is making sense of itself.

Oh and if you're living in US and Canada, do give this movie some form of attention. Australia every once in a while really work out to put a movie like this out.
    9/10

    Gandhi - 8.5/10

As grand of a sweeping epic if there ever was one, and probably the most ambitious film I've ever seen: the crowd scenes alone featuring throngs of extras will never be done again given the advent of CGI. From a storytelling standpoint it doesn't veer much from standard biopic fare though, and there's always doubt when it comes to historical accuracy (ALWAYS read up after the fact).

Still, at the very least from a "history lesson" point of view this is a very good place to start.

IO (Netflix Movie) 5/10 - This was uninspired, lackluster and events just continue to drag on. It should have been much better than it was. You spend the entire movie waiting for something to happen and it never does. This film was a waste of Anthony Mackie and Margaret Qualley should relinquish her kingdom for a pedicure.

I'm watching American horror story asylum. Not impressed, bad pacing, stories jump around too much. Everybody is a major horndog and too much overacting. 4/10 and this is just the first episode.

There’s a sort of companion movie called “Jinnah” about Mohammed Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan (who obviously has a role in Gandhi) that stars Christopher Lee. It is reputedly the actor’s favourite role. Might be worth a look.

    Condorman (1981) - 7/10
Hadn't seen this in over 30 years. Bought the dvd from Disney Store. Just came today. Not bad. Basic premise is as follows:
Comic book writer/artist wants his comics to be realistic. He won't put anything in them he can't replicate in real life like his hero's flying bird suit. He is recruited by his CIA buddy to do a document exchange using civilians. His contact decides she wants to defect and will only do it is the 'agent Condorman' will do it. Now he must become a spy and help her defection.
Basically it is more a low budget James Bond than superhero film. It has obvious wires visible at times, bad blue screen, has slower pace, but it has a charm to it.

I love this movie, in all its stupid glory, with every fibre of my being for reasons I can’t really explain. Well, I can explain the car - that thing was tight.

Like i said. I enjoyed it, but realize it is slower and kinda stupid. But it is quaint and charming.

Although watching it i kept thinking of the wing suit and went, you know if they did a Marvel Avengers film with the TV versions THIS would be Falcon. And it would be gloriously awesome.
