Why is it silly? They share the same name and visual cues but they are not the same character. G1 is G1 and Cyberverse is Cyberverse. If you were to pass commentary on the Cyberverse design based on its universe that could be fair critique, but to compare it to something it isn't, nor is attempting to emulate by way of carbon copy, is ludicrous.

This is greatest reply I’ve ever seen. No joke or being an ass to you, this deserves a fucking medal.

I really like Cyberverse designs and overall show aesthetic, I hope it gets popular anough they decide to make longer episodes and better toys.

Also, Windblade and Bee pic is heartwarming.

I don't hate her as such, but I am getting tired of her for three-four reasons (and yes, they are mainly subjective):

    1. A minor thing but her design never really changes in the way that other characters' design changes from series to series. She gets re-stylized to fit with the new style but nothing else is really done with her and I think that makes her visually boring. I also hate the mouth lines her Cyberverse design has because it makes her look like a marionette and no one else has the same design quirk (thank Primus) so she looks even more odd when she's standing in the same frame as another character.

    2. I don't think most of her incarnation are that interesting personality-wise. She just seems rather basic nice serious female character that offsets the nice silly male character. (I had a similar problem with Prime's Arcee who just felt like basic female angst with soft center character. People praised her but I just couldn't see from made her so different from all the other basic female angst with soft center characters I'd seen in other shows. I don't even think she moved past her guilt/grief and dealt with it like some of those other characters did)

    3. She's become the female equivalent to Bumblebee in that she seems always guaranteed a prominent role. Now, this wouldn't be such a big deal if her characterization and situation differed from universe to universe in some way but it doesn't feel like that. It feels like she's in the same situation as Bumblebee where her role and characterization must be within certain kinds of parameters and she isn't really allowed to venture outside of them.

Maybe I'll change my mind and I'm just being unfairly blah towards her at the moment. We'll see.

I think most of them are petty good but I do agree they look better as stills. I can't quite put my finger on why, though.

My only problem with the design themselves is that everyone looks younger, which I don't like for characters like Prime and Megatron. Also, there's a serious lack of faceplates but that's more of a personal preference and I'll admit it does make sense (personality-wise) why some of them wouldn't wear their faceplates constantly.

I think my favorites are Grimlock, Wheeljack, Arcee, Blurr and Megatron.

There's definitely a younger/cutesy look to this style, which isn't present in most series (even something like RID). It's like G1 combined with Rescue Bots.

If we could get ACTUALLY GOOD figures of Optimus, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Megatron, Shockwave and Starscream, then I would get them ASAP, no matter the cost.

I like how this design is based on the Optimus from IDW. The most recent Optimus Prime design from IDW is my favorite design of Optimus EVER. So I was surprised to see that it was his design from Cyberverse. I really like this Optimus, and I think it captures Optimus from G1 very well. It’s bulky, heroic, and very vibrant.
