She was recently cast in a movie as a trans character (male to female), which caused controversy and the response from her agent was to go and ask male actors (Jeffery tambore, Jared Leto, and another I don’t recall right now) who’ve played trans characters in films recently and won awards for it for a response, rather than reflecting and seeing how it is an issue and her participation is just adding to the problem. a trans actor is only ever eligible in Hollywood to play the roll of a trans character regardless of where they are in their transition, whereas a cis actor is eligible for seemingly whatever race and gender (see Ghost in the Shell as an example). ScarJo might bring in the money and there are no Trans actors you might be able to think of off the top of your head, and that’s due to them never getting an opportunity to be in the same spotlight as someone like her. She has recently bowed out of the film, though. There’s a funny image of her floating around with her face over Thanos and ethic/minority rolls are on the infinity gauntlet instead of the gems.
Eh, whatever. Though, the fact that someone wanted her to play a transgender character isn't saying a whole lot about her looks. Are they saying she looks like a man?
I had the thought the other day that it would be a clever flashback/duel time story; paralleling her pre-SHIELD and a current predicament that are linked together. Especially if Red Guardian was the antagonist.
I don't think looks factored into it...especially when you compare who she would have been trying to portray. I mean, she looks nothing like Dante Gill. But I'm sure with Hollywood's make up magic, they could make her look like the subject in question.

I don’t see why we would need this movie; we saw her background in ultron and she already did Lucy. I think based have been covered
I dont know what Lucy has to do with this. I'm looking forward to this and hope it has more of an international spy movie feel to it like Bourne Identity than the typical CBM feel.
I'd like to see the story that starts her as a Russian spy and the event that makes her switch sides and join SHIELD.
