Got one for sale if anyone's interested. Nice enough figure but just not really feeling it like I have with other MMC releases.

Just got the reissue, great figure, however, the legs don't feel as tight as the original issue or my commotus, they're not at all loose, just not as stiff, anybody get that from the re-issue?

I received Spartan for Christmas this year and I absolutely love him. Spartan has the feel of one of the T30 Voyagers he's designed to fit in with, but with MMC plastic and badass articulation. Definitely looks excellent next to T30 Springer. My only nitpick would be that I'd like to see an updated headsculpt for the figure, the stock one isn't bad at all but it's no Carnifex or Tyrantron. I re-read the Wreckers trilogy after getting him and it further cemented my love for Impactor and the Wreckers--I think they're the only Autobots I actually like. I know Hasbro has their own Impactor coming out soon and the Siege line is surprisingly pretty great, but I have my doubts it'll top this dude.

    EDIT: A short review.

    Ramblings:

Have you seen pictures of Spartan? He's exactly as good as he looks. That doesn't mean he looks perfect, but unlike a lot of figures, Spartan is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get situation. As the only third party option for Impactor, this guy luckily did not disappoint. Spartan has near-perfect articulation including some wonderfully designed wrist joints with unique hands that pop on and off so you can replace them with a drill or a harpoon. Just as was MMC's intention, Spartan fits right in with T30 Springer as the leader of the Wreckers. This figure is fun to transform, amazing to pose, and built out of some of the best materials in the business. My only complaints with this guy are that he's pretty damn expensive for what you get ($90 for a voyager, thankfully he was a gift) and his head sculpt is very 2013. I'm really picky about head-sculpts, so that is a huge knock against him, but it's not as bad as something from Maketoys...just a little simple. I would say he could also use more paint. Overall, I think he's the best Impactor we're going to get, I'm happy.

    The Good:

Well built, great articulation, oozes character.

    Nitpicks:

My copy's joints are a wee bit loose when compared with some other MMC figures I've gotten, probably mold degradation what with him being a reissue. No big deal.

    The Bad:

Head sculpt isn't great, needs more paint, and he shouldn't cost $90.

    Mode Ranking:

    1. Bot
    2. Tank

Grading: Carnifex is pretty much as close to a 100/100 (I’d give him a 98, two points off for not having base mode ramps) figure that I can think of, so that's what I'm grading to. I want all my figures to be above a 70/100, anything below that has failed in some regard, anything above an 80 is a figure I really like. I start with 100 and take points off for stuff I don't like.

    Grade: 80
(-5 for the head, -2.5 for the lack of paint, -2.5 for slightly loose joints, -10 for the price.

Just got him today, love me some wreckers. How crazy is it after all these years nothing ever came along to top Generations Springer? Probably my favorite mainline figure. Can't wait to see what the Siege Springer produces.

I keep hoping every time someone announces a Springer that it FINALLY is a suitable replacement for my T30 one. Same with Hasbro's Impactor (cause I haven't been able to get this guy yet) but Siege Impactos looks like a Legends figure up sized. Ugh.

Maybe a HasTak Legends figure, 3rd party Legends are generally on a whole different level.
