Gotta say these latest pictures have me second thinking my preorder; I was hoping for a more off-white (perhaps mistakingly so, looking back at the filter used in the original pics) and mid- rather than darkgrey legs and I actually 'miss' the metal sheen of his head and the transparent wings when comparing with the og. The only thing preventing me from cancelling my PO is the fact(?) that this is gonna sport considerably more paint. I could have realized all of this back then ofcourse, but my impression of this + version was colored (or filtered should I say).

Not sure what I'll do with mine. I have two KO's in my collection: Wheeljack and Ratbat (for obvious reasons). I'll probably display the MP in bot mode and transform the KO to alt mode and put it back in the box.

 

Ha! This reply did make me giggle, I'm keeping my current version too (love the alt mode on this guy!) but I won't lie, after seeing the amount of paint on this + version, I will be wishing they were able to do the same for the original. That would have made him perfect.

Still if you love the toon look, this + version seems well worth purchasing compared to previous + efforts, IMO.

 

The 1984-1985 cars are my favorite of all time and any MP repaint or in the + series case depaint is always welcome in my collection

Out of curiosity, are any third parties making toy-accuarate shoulder launchers for this guy?

I’m definitely keeping my old one around. Fully painted figures look great in hand but after a few transformations paint chips can really ruin it. We’ll soon find out if this is a problem but for now, I have a spare Wheeljack that I can safely transform.

 

Great thing about 20+ is that the backs of his hands and the panels on the inside of his forearms are unpainted dark gray plastic. Those are the two areas that I had chips on with my original two MP-20 copies. Gonna be nice not to worry about that
