For the most party just better ratchet joints in the hips. It seems to be the most major problem so far. But being honest I’m not expecting them to fix it since it doesn’t seem like a major issue. Hopefully someone comes out with some kind of mod.

There is play in the leg, it doesn’t hold the position well when put on the surface. Slippage. The reviewer doesn’t use the ankle tilt, either, which would place his feet more firmly in contact with the table. This kind of thing isn’t really a deal breaker for me, IMO it’s part of the learning curve all figures have while you get used to their foibles. It would be nice to have more clicky ratchets, though.

The problem is taking a small, light toy and making it much larger and heavier without adequately re-engineering it to support the weight. TF Dream Factory did a far better job, IMO, than BMB. (I have the SS and he is very poseable, mine just doesn’t tab together worth shit in the alt mode no matter how hard he is squeezed or cursed at.)

I still find the TF overall more aesthetically pleasing. Tattoos are sexy.

Same here. I don't see it as "slippage" but rather "play" or "looseness." Slippage to me would be ratchets not holding. Here, the ratchets simply appear to be too far apart with play between them is all. Bummer but not a heinous issue I can't deal with personally.

Wonder how the legs and ratchets are assembled. If it's standard, there should be a spring and separate ratchet disc. All you need to do is open up the legs, flip the ratchet disc around so that the teeth's are no longer facing the opposing ratchet, and reassemble to turn it into a friction joint. I did the same with DX9 Tyrant and it made the figure much more enjoyable and fun to pose.

Does the BMB version come with the alternate arm as well, or is that only a TF DF thing?

My Dream Factory arrived today. Overall I am very happy with him...

    GOOD
    -Looks terrific
    -Paint is nice
    -Details look great to me
-Scales nicely with MPM Prime (I have LT-01) IN MY OPINION based on what I typically see on screen in ROTF

    BAD
-He is light and doesn't "feel" very substantial- which isn't necessarily bad but I noticed it

-The concerns about his hips are legit. Ratchets are spaced too widely and the legs have play/splay in them between those ratchets. BUT, the ratchets hold just fine.

-Compounding the hip ratchet issue is a play/looseness in the crotch/waist where the hips are attached (on my copy anyway- maybe there is a tab or connection not fully done on mine). The play here is possibly worse than the hip ratchets as far as allowing his legs to splay out when posing

-Ankle tilt works but is somewhat limited

-He is an upscaled voyager figure and the mushroom peg arm joints show this as do some other less that masterpiecey design points

All this said he poses fine for me overall when I account for the looseness/splay in his waist/hips. I love how he looks and am quite happy overall.

Pics. Last two are showing the play in the crotch/waist where the hips attach.

Does it feel like the hips will fall out?

No. Just a lot of play that allows the legs to wobble when shaking it and they splay out a lot when you put him down after posing. I'm hoping there is some way to at least secure the hips where the play is in the last two pics I pposted. Maybe they missed a tab I haven't found yet when the packed mine or something.

Hope this is helpful. I cut two little pieces of plastic (the kind you find on any window of a toy box) and tugged them into the gaps, fixes the shaking and splaying at the same time.

Kind of like a wedge to hold them in place?

From what I can tell, the crouch is loose because the purple opening is too wide for the red parts. So tugging in a piece of plastic inbetween can stop it from shaking. sketch-1549440613455.png
If the plastic isn't thick enough to fill the gap, just wrap it with tapes.
This is of course just a crude way to fix it. Hope someone can come up with a better solution here lol.

ShowZStore doesn't always send me emails on shipping. I have to go to my account and check the order status directly.

I didn't get an email either when my pre order was in stock. I noticed that it was showing as in stock on show.z website, checked my order in my account and it was asking for the remainder of the balance. That was Jan 25th. It shipped fairly quickly after that (Jan 28th), arrived in the UK Monday (4th Feb)

Maybe I just got unlucky and they ran out, because my order doesn’t say waiting for full payment

Yeah, to be honest it was blind luck on my part that I looked at the website when I did, as I'd not received an email I reckon I'd still be waiting as well.
