go back to other threads, like UT and AA you will see the prototype truck mode sucks as well, but once painted and glossy, it all works. I suspect this will be the case for this release. Once we see the truck mode. I mean look at MP44.. It's truck mode was considered horrible too, until the colored pics were released, and the seams tended to blend in and disappear. It's a fundamental part of the genre. I will wait to pass judgement until they release the actual colored test figure. I do wish they could give him a Booty tho. Seems kinda sparse in the rear end area, and well quite frankly the crotch. I always thought of prime as being made of ahem... Sterner Stuff.. LOL

I guess now we know why Prime was so violently angry in the movies; he’s missing his crankshaft!

Knight Orion? Awesome name, but that seems to be really skirting the line, almost as much as Kultur’s Mask. Home much longer until we get someone actually trying to use the names in some way, like “Fansproject Bumble-Bee” or “Toyworld Stars Cream”? Only reason I ask is because I want that world. It’s sounds hilarious. We have to be getting close, someone named a 3rd party Kup “Cup”, didn’t they?

As as soon as there is a toy named Stars Cream on the market, they have my preorder.

I had a discussion with a fellow collector about this yesterday and to your point he attests (via his industry insider knowledge) that you're absolutely spot on. And by "sticks" more to the point... what people respond to the strongest. The problem is, by governing a product line via responses on a Messageboard (where arguably the population is much smaller than the actual buying public) you limit yourself as a company by having to constantly pivot based on shallow and very 'of the moment' tastes.

As to what TW will actually eventually produce, who knows the when or the what. I personally hope they shelve WWI style tank guy who had roughly 5 min of screen time and produce something more in-demand, but obviously that's not in my control.

That robot looks pretty decent but he's still a bit chunky, I doubt the vehicle mode will be any good still (it probably looks just as bad as when Black Mamba were showing it off under their name), and I highly doubt the paint will look that good out of the factory.

Plus, ToyWorld isn't exactly known for the best QC. But hey, I'm happy for them to prove me wrong. I'm just not convinced they will.

And since I saw some confusion over it still: there is no longer a Black Mamba Optimus Prime. ToyWorld bought it. This figure is the Black Mamba one.
    Don't get him started on-

    Oh never mind...
They seem to be pandering to their "fans" on Weibo, more or less just announcing anything people want to hear announced, with little to show for most of the announcements so far.

That tank guy, whose name - let's be honest here - NOBODY remembers looks like he could make for a fun toy... if it was a Hasbro Deluxe. For whatever price ToyWorld charges, I'm sure it'll be way too expensive for what it is.

What concerns me the most is just how many projects they have going on right now. Even if they've got multiple designers working on these projects, surely it's not good for a small company like ToyWorld to juggle so many different products at once. That could definitely hurt QC too, if they're trying to pump out as much as possible, as fast as possible.

As much as ToyWorld has been problematic in the past, I wish them all the best as far as making good figures for us to buy, but I'm just not convinced they'll succeed.

Wow, I\'m happy with mine, but that is pretty.  I see even less of The Truck or even clear toy engineering.  If he pulls it off I\'ll be super impressed.

Looks very good there IMO, tho it's not for me - but if the shipped one is to that standard and has good QC, it'll bode well for their BB Prime :D

5min? He didn’t even get five SECONDS. All I want from that line is their WWII Starscream but that’s supposedly a BAF and I hate that.

    Look here's my deal...
I get what you guys are saying about the level of QC in TW products in the past, when they were named something else. It's nice to hear that bit of info, and makes me cautious about purchasing their products. Now, if they are smart, they will get preproduction samples out to the youtube reviewers as soon as possible. That will be my way of being certain before purchasing the product. I don't doubt some presales may be lower in the initial offering, but if you are a company with a shady past history in the QC arena, then they need to account for that in their release, however should the reviews hold out and are good, then they should brace themselves for stepped up production as the demand will most likely be higher based on those reviews.

On the WWII and WWI front..
I will most definitely be getting the TLK WWI tank Autobot, who most can't recall his name..
It's Bulldog BTW.. apt given english Bulldog's is probably why they call him that being a Brit WWI tank.

Now Bumblebee's Nazi Killer car, I will probably get that too..

Novelty and Oddity I know, but worth it, because well frankly they look really cool. If the QC is good, then I will definitely pick them up.
Now I know there is this complaint about the backside of TW AOE/TLK prime's butt.. But I am looking at some images from the movie, and it's not like he has a Kardashian Booty back there, so I am okay with it, and certainly the arms for me, are about on par with the CGI model, given Prime had some huge arms in the movie..
Honestly tho, I wouldn't call the head and body style of this TW OP as the AOE version, for me, this is the TLK version.. a bit different from the AOE. For me, El Cid or UT Challenger fits more with the AOE style.

Also, let's consider the comicave 1/22 scale Optimus Prime, there you can see the crotch area is also sparse, so I am not as overly concerned or nitpicky with it as I have been, having assessed other versions out on the market.

Overall, In the final analysis, I am hopeful that TW will be able to pull off a good Masterpiece of the TLK Optimus Prime, and I will remain cautiously optimistic and will take an overall wait and see attitude to their release. I really want their version to succeed and to be a good option for consumers, because I like the aesthetic and I feel it captures alot of what the CGI model from the movie conveys, it will be up to their final release and how it looks in Altmode that will sway me to finally put down the money to get it tho, so I do hope what we have seen to date on the altmode is not all that we can expect. They have done much to the prototype since first seen, so I will bet that in the end, we may be surprised as to how the final product looks. remember when UT Challenger got a lot of flak before the final release, so I will table my concerns for the most part, but in the grand scheme of the entirety of this genre, the fact a 3rd party can come along and produce anything near parity with the Big 2 companies TT/HAS is amazing feat in itself. Who would have thought just short years ago we would be here and have all these options. It truly is a good time to be into the hobby, and my hopes is that these 3rd party companies can continue to thrive, and the official companies will leave them be. If they are threatened by them, then hire them, and produce better products, that's the best way to capitalize on them, rather then shut them down, and continue to put out subpar products..

For me, I will wait and see.. I hope this turns out good, because I really like their version, and want to see it be in my collection.

i feel you, When alien attack announced dino and optimus i was excited for them until i saw the reviews on youtube. Im glade i didnt purchase it because theres nothing more that i hate than to have a transformer figure that is a pain in the ass to transform and will not even peg in places and just look like a mess. Thats why Peru Kill and challenger from unique toys rain supreme over all the 3rd prty movie figures imo. I pray this line is as good but if its anything like alien attack prime or dx tfevo hotrod figures its a hard pass for me.

On the topic of the WW1 tank: everytime I see it I keep thinking this is a good version of Cup, being a war veteran with all the stories as he is. This seems perfect. Give him some gray tints and you have some G1 colours as well. Keep the WW1 tank mode for modern days because he believes in the "good ol' days". Why not I ask :D

I was trying to be generous. :D  However, no matter how much screen time he did or didn't have... none of it to my memory involved wearing a gas mask.

is Optimus Prime will be AOE version or TLK Nemsis Prime version? because Unique Toys has AOE and TLK Optimus Prime with Nemesis Prime face plate.
