I picked up the Coast Guard deco from Agabyss a couple weeks ago. I like them,the military ones are kind of plain to me. I dig the colored ones a little more. They're a nice set.

 

I may pick this up if gets KO'd.

I ended up ordering it today because I’m a sucker for the VTOL set and I like the deco.  

 

I have those also, and they are higher on my list of favorite color schemes. If you like the pictures you will like them even more in person.

 

I have the Coast Guard set, both of them. The colors are nice but the backpack give me some troubles. They are heavy and have loose joints.
Overall still highly recommended.

 

Something arrived yesterday... guess I need to put a KO in front of them for complying in this thread.

Those look awesome, are the Yellow Stripes on the shields and the Police/SAT logos paint apps/tampos or stickers? If they're stickers did they come with the sets?

I don't know about you, but I feel totally gypped after getting the Chronicle Suit F. Not only does it cost more, but it doesn't come with a garage or any weapons. Totally not worth it. That's what I get for trying to support Takara by buying some official.
Oh, and +1 for a positive review of the Coast Guard set. It's hard to say which is my favorite so far, but the Coast Guard set coming with the gyro is definitely up there.

 

SAT 2 is going to be in my next order definitely.

 

I was close to buying a SAT (commander MS14) set a few days ago but ultimately had to pass so i could buy another item that i knew i wouldn't be able to find at the price i found it for.

But as Arnold says.. "I'll be back."

 

I'm still interested to know if Takara has done anything with those containers as I just feel there should be some play pattern than makes use of them more than the current offerings too - something like cargo carriers or drop ship designs. (something like Sky Garry)

 

The original containers kinda interact with some of the pieces from Diabattles and Big Powered, but only in a 'this jet thing can pick them up' way. The newer Alpha-Delta suit containers can all be carried around on Battle Buffalo's legs when they're in vehicle mode. The annoying thing about that is he CAN'T carry the original containers, which I'm up to my eyeballs in because of all the MFT suits. XD

I'd love it if some 3rd or 4th party company made some nice container storage display that would really work in terms of a 'Diaclone hanger' sort of set up. Or at least something so I don't have to have them all stuffed in a desk drawer at work. XD

 

It's interesting that the original suits were initially shown with a drop down, ramp-styled door:




Had they kept it like this, it would have allowed greater uniformity and compatibility with the later products; while removable connectors (that could be stowed inside) could have been used for attachment with Diabattles.

Not to mention stacking containers would be a lot easier.

 

i would preferred this actually. i like the containers but without a bigger mech or a better way to store them the rails and everything on them just make them take up unnecessary space either in the back of the shelf or a box.

 

Yeah. The first crate design that we got would have been cooler if it stacked or linked together, but instead they added that weird little tab to the top so that the ships from Diabattles could pick them up, which is cool but ultimately coulda been done in a much more convenient way. Having the weird side tabs as well seem like something they were GOING to use but then abandoned, unless I'm missing some use for them.

 

I would think Magnets or metal plates inside all the crates would have been the obvious choice to (like Starcom) sure some have metal stickers - but that doesn't help much until I can find some metal tape or something to act as a replacement for the missing stickers.
That you can not even stack them isn't ideal - if Takara had been on their A game they'd have put a way to attach the new crates in with the old ones perhaps the old ones on the back or top.

Also someone for the love of primus inexpensively mass produce the pilots already. I even offered to order 300 of the damn things and they still wouldn't bit - all MFT ever says is "we want to concentrate on larger toys" - well stop making mech with no drivers then it's annoying.

I guess I'll have to go to some obscure corner of the Chinese internet to find the pilot packs. Considering they may fit inside some Transformers too - they have even more of a use than as crew.

I had similar frustrations with Air Raiders toys.

 

Got the Diamond Cyclone DA-06 in. It's pretty damn nice and came with the bonus parts. I only wish it'd also included the other version of the arms with the 4 barreled gun assemblies as bonus parts. Plastic feels nice, joints are all solid, only weird thing is the slimmer jet-thing has a somewhat loose cockpit glass part. Nothing too problematic, it still stays in place just fine.
