Everyone keep your fingers crossed that Motormaster is as good, especially since (I think) he's coming w/ 2 trailers.

I'm guessing just the cab will make his robot mode...or will the trailer become part of his bot mode (technically how he was, G1 at least, whole thing transformed).

Probably just the cab, would make sense I suppose.

Holy fuck that Dragstrip is downright perfection. Best looking XTB stunticon yet, by far. And that’s saying a lot considering how widely well received those others have been.

 

The original render has Motor Master just being the cab, but having a bot mode that still looks like the cartoon. Which is fine by me, preferable even to him being a semi with half a trailer hanging off the back. But I know some people have a problem with that for some reason.

 

Show.Z is aligned to that thinking, listing May for Deathwish. Ugh. Slow-ass release schedule confirmed?  

 

My only minor nitpick is that I can’t stick a big decepticon sticker on Dragstrips left shoulder, due to that piece sticking out. But, I can live with it. Otherwise that figure looks damn near perfect in every way. I’m impressed.

I actually like the 2 tone yellow which is cartoon accurate. But the darker yellow near the rear wheels seem off comparing with the cartoon. Am I missing something @ibot ?

Not trying to pick on XTB. I love this set and will buy it all the same. Just don't understand why they make an extra effort to make it less cartoon accurate and that's why the question to ibot.

 

I have to say, even though I'm not one for cartoon accuracy,I feel like XTB has added enough sculpting and detail in both modes and yet not too much to please both toy and hybrid (Hasui-style) fans (like myself) and the cartoon fans. These are all looking really sharp, and I can't wait to get the rest in-hand!

You don't have to though. It's just a page or two back. I get not reading 300 pages, but one or two...

It probably is correct, yeah, though I reckon XTB will get Motormaster out before the end of the year. They were pretty on-point with releases last year and they've already come out swinging in 2019 (even if Dead End technically isn't out yet).

In the meantime, I'm stealing your trick and getting both Azalea and Flipout at the same time.  

You're assuming they aren't already. I could be wrong since it could just be shadow from the lighting, but those parts look like they might be painted die-cast metal.

Don’t buy it then. There’s another 2 alternatives out there, though when you’ll actually see/get them in hand is another question entirely .... FT’s in 3 years perhaps?

I will buy it. I don't expect a redeco. Not going for DX9, though I have TFM and might add FT stuff depending on how things are going.

I just wish the darker color was more yellow and not so brown really.

Unfortunately, KFC also recently revealed several large figures with pre-orders that are slated for 2019. KFC was quiet last year, so Keith may have had more production facility available for XTB products than he will have this year if KFC is ramping up again too.

 

Flipout had similar armatures that were plastic and they seem sturdy enough.

 

Except TT never says obviously BS things like : "we'll have the next two out in December". Perhaps XTB meant December 2019 or is it 2020.
