I replied to the other Toy world thread instead of here so I'll give my input again. His face is still sunken in which creates a weird line between his eyes and mouth and the shoulder pads still kind of stinks. Otherwise this level of paint job is really amazing and I hope he meets more of the Masterpiece fundamentals, which you just referenced, than UT's Challenger. To me this doesn't really scream Masterpiece to me either, it looks good, but I need more images to have that wow factor. Not to mention, we haven't seen the alt-mode since the early grey prototypes - it likely hasn't changed but I think it'll look better in colour. Easiest solutions to the problems I mentioned are: not pushing the swapable face all the way in to be level with the eyes or fill the gap, and for the shoulder pads maybe have an add-on for it? I'm a little let down about how they didn't fix the face, the sculpt is fine but the way it fits in breaks the aesthetic, they couldn't do much with the shoulder pads with the way they designed transformation so I'll give them a pass for that.

Pretty sure it was confirmed to be 29/30 cm a while ago, maybe 28 cm but it definitely scales with MPM-3 from what I remember.

Paint is inaccurate in some spots, most notably the knee pads. Makes him look good but the sad looking shoulder pads are still a thing which turns me off a lot. That’s just a weird angle too and it makes the face look bad.

It looks great but the forearms and the shoulder pads are still throwing me off plus that altmode, this isn’t a must buy for me right now

I'm no expert, but that looks hand painted to me. Like the head sculpt they showed for Bumblebee Movie Prime. It's got a graininess to it that I've seen when comparing hand-painted toys to machine-painted ones.

Thats a great looking paint job, wow TW even though I already have the UT version this looks impressive and wayyyy more accurate I knew UT version wasnt accurate here and there it didnt bother as he looks good but seeing TW version is like damn.... lol

Not going to jump on the TW version though waiting to see how the quality, transformation and alt mode reviews are.

Until this is released and proves to have acceptable qc, it's nothing but a piece of eye candy. El cid was beautiful in it's own sense and became a disaster.

I think TW has enough figures under their belts, but every toy is a new challenge.

If it ends up amazing and at a good price( see it's 140) , I'll sell my challenger.

I do wonder what Toyworld's design and QC will be like in this bold post-Zeta age. They're clearly trying to come out of the gate swinging, but I wonder who they have now and what they used to make.

Ho-lee shit. Bought for the amazing robot mode alone. It's a damn shame that the alt-mode is so inaccurate though, maybe there's still hope.....

There's a slim chance they changed anything about it considering they've never showed it since the gray prototypes and the fact that they didn't fix the face which indicates major changes weren't possible at this stage - which the alt-mode would require due to transformation requirements.

But they did change the head..... (tbh almost the entire face is in shadows in the new pic so i'd say we shouldn't judge it just yet)

Wow! that's great! reportedly the new OS MPM 04 retool from BA/WJ is about the same size! So that will scale perfectly with my BB, and my OS SS Star Adjunct!

I meant how the swappable face aren't flush with the eyes, you can see an unsightly line between them and it seems like something that should've been fixed but by the looks of the new painted image it doesn't seem to be that way. I didn't mean a new head, I already knew that when it was shown.

I have two Challengers, but I may get this if the alt-mode went through some improvements as well... You can't have too many Knight OPs!

If Zeta designers were still with TW, they would have make it a f@cking partsformer... I am so happy they parted ways...

I mean, that was only for their combiners. Combiners fundamentally are parts formers themselves, they parts form into a bigger bot so I never really saw a problem with how they did it, they're more stable in combined mode overall too although aesthetics is up to you, I think parts forming some aspects of a combiner makes it a better set overall especially since they're MP scaled. Zeta wouldn't have been in charge of the movie figures by Toy world regardless I would imagine, they specialize in G1 type of figures, correct me if I'm wrong though.
