Labels for KFC Stratotanker

I am undecided about the stickers. This is quite a lot of stickering required and it doesn't look as nice as I hoped. I really wish they had done just a bit more tampo details on this one.

 

I like the colours on it, but it's too obviously 'stickers'.. when I got time, I will get back to painting mine

So I said I would paint my Stratotanker. And I did. I tried to let the g1 toy colours inspire me, but I feel that too much colours will make him too flashy to be a realistic jet/truck. That said, I love the g1 toy colours. But I wanted a cartoon likeness, albeit with more decoration. Truck mode pics will go up once I got more time to transform him . This is far from the cleanest paint job, but I do wanna give everyone an idea of how much better he looks in more paint. With more time, I may add more stripes to the wings and clean him up better. But time is what I lack

I would say he looks pretty good already, without the paint. But when I saw the g1 toy, I had to wonder why isn't there a toy colour version yet. It looks soo damn pretty.
But I would say, if you aren't too keen on an octane, then give it a pass. It's transformation isn't fun. Even though it's solid in all modes, and stood up to my abuse for about a year now. It's only worth it if you really like octane and his alt modes(like it enough to paint it yourself ). Or don't paint it. He's a good looking g1 cartoon octane. If you like cartoon octane, then this is good for you. But g1 toy deco octane is the one for me

 

It is such a nice Octane... Why it has to be soo small!  

 

Severe lack of chrome = No buy for me.

What made the original G1 toy so appealing to me was the chrome.

Real planes and real oil tankers have chrome too. so why not this toy.

chrome only comes off if your not careful.

meh. oh well... If I could afford to send the parts i want Vaccu-metal chromed to some company I would.

But it's super expensive.

 

Painted Octanes gun, personally it helps breaking his plain color pallet.

 

Nice! I wasnt sure what to do with the gun, but this is an idea!

 

I really hope another 3P company takes a stab at this character.

 

I was pretty happy with UT's version of this but KFC knocked this out of the park. Just the way I like it. Kept the UT version for my Chug collection.
Can't imagine another company doing this and going pure G1 anime. Kind of a hard figure to make without the magic of morphing of size. I mean a truck to commercial jet is really tough to make G1 scale accurate.
KFC is has been knocking triple changers out of the park in design and build.

 

I love this one too. I also went to buy UT Provider off of eBay but dealt with a bad seller and waited this one out. This one was just impossible to fit within any kind of scale and I like what they ended up doing. If it had been to scale it would have a close match with XTB Motormaster with a separated cab and a gigantic jet. The robot would have been 15 inches.
