Truly the alt mode might break the likeness of the figure but if it does undergo a major improvement then it’ll be the best one imo

 

Yeah, the alt mode looked pretty goofy. As someone who likes to transform my figures often AND likes accurate robot modes, this is a tough decision. Toyworld looks nicer in robot mode to me, but Challenger is just so fun and easy to transform.

 

It’s a shame they can’t really change the shoulder pads since they made it part of the transformation I believe, but out of all the AOE/TLK Primes this is the best version in terms of bot mode. I like Unique Toys’ figures but IMO their Optimus is kind of overrated, the best one out ATM no doubt and great engineering but even with the new head sculpt coming with Dragoon he still looks off, and I’m not talking about just the blocky torso. But hey this is looking promising and hopefully they managed to improve alt-mode a little, I don’t really mind though since I just display.

 

I hope it’s feet is stable.... I hate that about challenger.

Is everyone hoping this to be better than Challenger? This guy is set to be 1cm taller than UT Challenger, and UT Megatron will be one head taller than Challenger.

I think Toyworld can do good Bayverse moulds with no backpack like their SS WW2 Bee.

We just have to be patient, I guess.

I really wonder if this will be a similar comparison to the TE-01 vs MS-01 battle, with Toyworld being the cleaner but more complicated one, and UT being the simpler blockier one.

I'd say it was a worthy sacrifice to get that robot mode 

 

I don't know yet. The paint is beautiful, but neither this or Challenger screams, "Masterpiece! Buy Me!"

@Shin Densetsu made a comment in the MP-44 thread that sums up these Primes. Takara has been striving to achieve the major fundamentals for their masterpieces.

-Perfect transformation
-Articulation
-Accuracy (both modes) to onscreen counterpart

Challenger (and peru) only get a check for the transformation. Right now this might get a check for articulation.
