I'm kind of curious why Bandai never used their Saint Myth Cloth base from their Saint Seiya lines (since Armor Plus predates the Myth Cloth EX line) for their Samurai Trooper toys back in 2009.

News of a potential new figure line is extremely exciting! I'm all in blind! Terrible poker face I know, but Ronin Warriors is the one thing I'm always all in for.

Also, this is the first I've heard of this Lutoys Cale prototype. Does anyone have any figures from Lutoys or further info?

Regarding the Blu-Ray: even as a child I really enjoyed the dark tones. The show is actually distinct to me for that look. I appreciate the highlighted details of the Blu-Ray, but I'm partial to the darker tone. I will definitely purchase a US release of the Blu-Ray if it happens because it certainly is beautiful.

I remember when the vintage Ronin Warriors line was in stores for a brief time and I always thought they were neat, though I never managed to get my hands on any of them and if they ever did a revised Armor Plus line complete with the warlords and other ancillary characters I'd be all over it. I did only ever manage to catch a few episodes of the show and never really liked it, so it's actually puzzling to me why I have such an attachment to this brand after all these years.

i picked up a U.S. PLAYMATES RYO at a K MART back in my mid-teens back in the day. still have it, -complete, even- though a bit beat up in areas.

by the way, the U.S. editions of these figures were carded, not boxed, and, IIRC, the japanese versions might have had some metal components
on either the main figure, the armor, or both, i can't quite recall...

Ditto. My wife is all into Saint Seiya and she owns a couple of the Bandai diecast metal armored figures. I always thought Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors would work using their system just as well.

The Armor Plus figures are similar to those Saint Seiya figures with the exception of self destroying leg joints. I'm actually really surprised Bandai didn't make armored Figuarts for Ronin Warriors.

Edges of the hair are too soft(not sharp enough) and his eyes look more like Dragon Ball Z(they need to curve more on the bottom towards the middle rather than the outer left/right edges) and either the eyes are too big and/or too close to his nose. The eyes need to be angled less towards the bridge of his nose too.

I hope they do Talpa eventually.

Him and Inferno Armor Ryo are my favorite (and best looking) characters from the anime.

All very valid points. I'd love if they could make those changes. With that said, I recognize who it is, and am happy with it if changing the facesculpt would possibly risk the project.

At this point I no longer care how the face looks, I'm just so excited to finally have at least one of the Warlords available. :bay

Anyone have experience with the lutoys knockoffs? I have the datong inferno armor and am more than happy with it considering the price vs. an original. Wanted to make a full set before the warlords start coming out

I really REALLY hope Sentinel has plans for all the 5 Ronins + 4 Warlords + Inferno + Kayura...
No matter how improved they might be over the Armor Plus, it'd be REALLY stupid if we just end up with the main 5 + Inferno again...
