I see someone read my post in the TFA 10th Anniversary thread.

I know I'm currently in the middle of writing my own version of a TFA continuation - I know it's been done umpteen million times but after seeing nearly all of them disregard canon in some way, I decided "slag this, I'm fixing it."

I ended up deciding to split Season 4 in two, due to how I wanted to pursue two plot points revealed by the Allspark Almanacs: Bulkhead and Sari remaining on Cybertron to defend the Energon farms and continue Sari's Cybertronian education.

For a real Season 4, I'd really like to see these plot threads fleshed out as well, and not relegated to one or two episodes amidst everything else being focused on OP and crew.

Maybe this should be moved to “cartoon discussion.”

We already know what would have been in Season 4 - The Allspark Almanac II (and the Complete AllSpark Almanac) cover all the S4 plans that would have been and sadly never will be.

Some but not all. And it doesn't go into too much detail. We don't even get an entire season's worth of actual episodes revealed via the Almanacs last I checked.

This will be most useful for the story I’m in the process of writing. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

There are several stories that were done at BotCon that were from the aborted 4th season. (But we all know that already)

I would've liked to have seen Hot Shot get more time, and have stories explore some of the side characters who are on Cybertron. Maybe even a story to make Sentinel seem a little more sympathetic.
I also would've liked to have seen the creation of the Maximals and Predacons, given that it was hinted at several times.

I wonder how we'd get to Megatron trying to cyberform Earth. What would he even use?

Trypticon is a prison complex and fortress. Not a kaiju-former. He could potentially try turning it into a giant cannon.

Though really, your answer wasn't quite what I was looking for.

Most of the ideas for a season 4 is mostly the same as the proposed episodes that @CyberstormSM posted, but with some differences. I would love to learn more on Rodimus’ group and Strika’s group along with seeing them in action. Not necessarily against each other again like at the beginning of season 3, but just so we can learn more about them individually.

And have one of the Autobot scientists like Perceptor mention that they allowed certain Autobots to start scanning flying alt modes like jets because they realized they need more of them to have a better chance against the Decepticons. But not all of them do it either do to fear or preference to ground vehicle modes. Or there might be a more involved process of giving an Autobot a flying alt mode that might come with risks.

I wouldn’t mind either a flashback or one of the episodes referencing Blurr coming back to life. The reason why I didn’t mention a dedicated episode is just so it doesn’t conflict with the comic/script reading that was from 2015. They wouldn’t need to mention every detail when referencing the event in either flashback or doing a brief summary mentioned in one episode that shows Blurr’s return.

@MetalkingRazor It's been confirmed via comics that the process that gave the Jet Twins flying alt-modes involved a total rebuild plus added flier coding from Starscream. They still can't scan flier modes whenever they want.

I almost forgot about that. Should have said scanned or completely rebuild. Sorry. Though, I doubt that wouldn’t stop the writers from saying that technology has improved enough where they allowed certain Autobots to have flying alt modes or can make more Autobots with flying alt modes. Some time passed between the comic (from what I remember of the comic, it started not long before the events of A Fistful Of Energon) and the first episode of Season 3 that that the Twins appeared in. And then some time passed between that and end of Season 3 (this is assuming the events of Season 4 happened immediately after the ending of Season 3.). It isn’t out of the realm of possibility that enough time has passed where someone could have improved the process of rebuilding bodies or improved the scanners for Autobots to get flying alt modes.

Part of the reason I wanted them to include a more flying Autobots is because the “No Autobot Can Fly” rule seems so dumb since they kept mentioning that rule even when more flying Autobots were introduced. Even in the series finale, there were some flying Autobots that were named dropped when Ratchet says that Autobots Don’t Fly.

I was also trying to explain Cosmos having an UFO mode in the proposed season 4 episode involving him. So either his scanner was upgraded to scan a flying alt mode or he got rid of his old vehicle mode and his body was rebuilt for an aerial alt mode BEFORE he came to Earth. Granted, there’s a chance he could have been rebuilt where he can change to any alt mode but still has his old mode.

Though to be fair, you could get some pretty funny shenanigans out of Cosmos having a non-flying UFO mode. In the continuation I’m in the process of writing, I put in some cheap gags where he rolls around on his side like a giant wheel.

That can potentially be funny. Though, since Animated takes place in the future, there is that chance that the UFO could have been designed to fly. Or I can see a mixture or rolling on his side and using wheels underneath the prop UFO mode. Would be cool to see that story in comic form (or maybe Animated revival one of these days? I mean Young Justice was able to return. But I know that’s wishful thinking.). Just to see if Cosmos actually flies or just rolls around. Or even both.

I want it to happen in animated form or at least in comic form.
