All this talk of Skyfire makes me want an MP version of him...since we can't get a G1 reissue.

These cassettes are awesome...already own the Universe reissue with 5 tapes but these are too good to resist!

 

I'm not even buying the Wal-Mart reissues and I want these.

 

Kids with a healthy admiration for magnetic tape, of course!

 

All i really wanna say is YES please. I'll take 4,..... so i can have 2 cards to open and 2 carded for my growing wall of g1 carded figures. Oh how i need these so bad since i don't actually have them since encore slipped out of my fingers yrs ago.

 

They need to reissue the Squawkbox duo.

 

And the reissue train keeps rolling.....love it. Curious to see what is planned for 2020 when Astrotrain is being released.......maybe his buddy Blitzwing? I fully expect that Blaster and his 4 cassettes will see the light of day again as well as Skywarp/Thundercracker. I wish they did not change the weapons on Laserbeak but that is a REALLY minor issue for me.

 

The cards on these are almost worth the purchase alone. Very slick looking piece of 80s pop art.

 

What if Hasbro through Walmart reissues the majority of S1 and S2 G1 Tfs, what will you all do without a G1 Megatron and Jetfire (Didn't Hasbro acquired Bandai last year, maybe a Jetfire rerelease is possible)?

 

I always forget he was called Skyfire in the cartoon. What’s funny is that the comic used the same model and called him Jetfire, which is still the name that has been used ever since. Another Sunbow oddity.

 

I wasnt even taking the alt modes into consideration, lol. If they are really trying to market G1 reissues to hipsters who think retro is cool, they should probally put them in better places than a walmart toy section. Perhaps a place like Spencers where people go to buy blacklights and lava lamps. I just dont see kids wanting to play with bricks that turn into obselete recording devices. It took Walmart a long time to unload all those Hot Rods.
