    Sorry to necro this thread, but it seemed like the best place for this sentiment...

    I think Iron Factory could totally retool and redco this mold into a pretty good Devcon figure. The altmode is the right shape... and no wings in robot mode (a side effect of every Scourge/Devcon redco). Just needs different details and colors.

    i can see that working maybe. but wasn't this a troublesome mold to say the least.

    It was a little stiff... I think people didn't really like it because it seemed like a lazy nothing-alt mode when compared to Drift, who people are used to seeing as a car.

    But for Devcon, I think it makes a lot more sense and would be more well received.

    I gotta say, I had no problems with this figure. Either of them. He poses great, love the usual tight IF joints, lots of extras, and alt mode looks like idw. Looks just like the bot characters....I feel IF can do little wrong.

    After you get a bunch of 3rd party stuff you will NEVER complain that joints are stiff. Haha. I feel like most of us wish for stiffer stronger joints. I didn't think that it was poorly recieved? Having said that. I wouldn't mind a Scourge.. Rather have Cyclonus, but..

    I think you need to adjust your request though. Re tooling and re molding just means
    making a whole new figure. Often people think it's "just retool and it's done!" That is actually not a just at all. It requires literal re tooling.
    Just saying.. I think you just want to say "Hey IF, Make Cyclonus or Scourge! ". It would literally be easier for them.

    Who cares about whiners complaining about necroing a thread. Imo, your opinions and questions are not irrelevant because they occur later and you didn't click pre order on day 1 from your mom's basement. So what if people were talked about it a while ago?
    :)

    I want neither Cyclonus nor Scourge here?

    To reiterate, I think that their Drift... with a new head, different chestplate, and different shoulders, and of course a new color scheme to match, would make a good Devcon. No other major changes needed to the rest of the figure.

    Except those are major changes to build a toy. Retool was your word. I mentioned Cyclonus. Sorry.. to clarify the Scourge.. I thought you meant Devcon by definition and not the Autobot. I didn't notice at a glance that was him and not Scourge when you mentioned Scourge in your post. Semantics. :)  The message about retooling was my point.

    Just trying to help you and clarify man. You do you. Forget I said it .

    I don't know how familiar you are with Iron Factory's work, but they are no strangers to retooling.

    Blaster -> Perceptor
    Sideswipe -> Jazz
    Optimus -> Nova Prime

    Just a few examples that come to mind. It's something they do... and something they could do here. And for figures this small, it's not nearly as major an undertaking as it is for MP figures.

    I have a huge collection of IF and I am extremely framiliar with designing, building, and manufacturing something from nothing on a regular basis. Including designer and 3rd party toys.. I was trying to help you understand the process isn't just turning on a machine, and help not get you heat for necroing. You seem to know what you know though, so. .. like I said. Np. Forget I said anything..

    they were popping up in the for sale section like crazy over the past few months. that is when i got mine from various people. the price for these guys isnt too bad and i think it is fair.

    there is a set on ebay right now for 100 bucks i think. just message the seller to see if they will take less and call it a day. even at 100 that is a decent price for new bots when you figure in the late tax.

    Well it's Iron Factory, so I'd guess it's about Legends size.

    Ironically, a different version of Blurr shared the same mold as the Generations Deluxe Drift... but I'm sure you knew that. I just find it kind of funny, it's like almost but not quite there...
