It's a shame it isn't free for all who purchased the set beforehand. I'd think Zeta provided these for free like they did for China and BBTS is profiterring off of this. Unless $12 is covering BBTS' costs but that to me seems steep

I messaged bababobo00712 asking if he was going to be getting the alternate head and this was his response:

    Hello, my friend

    I apologize.

    It's not on sale alone.

I have recently converted to this thing after having UT Ragnaros for a while. I like that’s it’s big and bulky and I don’t even mind the non-G1 alt modes as much as I thought I would but damn if Racket would just stay attached long enough for me to get a proper pose. Back heavy with a leg that won’t stay attached. Is there a way to lock in the spring loaded clip or something I missed?

Today I was finally able to combine it and I really love it, probably even more than Constructor!
I still need to figure out an issue with Blitzkrieg, I can’t make the panel with the head to stay flush, probably I didn’t fold the panels below property?
I think the robot modes are ugly and useless (to me) and the threads on the tank are a punishment, but the combiner is simply glorious

The folded up panels of onslaught under the piece the bruticus head is attached to didn’t sit flush on mine. I had to sand the tabs a bit on the onslaught panels and everything fit better

Got the head in from Toy Dojo today, along with IF Tarn. I do like that it has a different set of voice clips (particularly the iconic "Bruticus devastate Devastator" line) Thankfully I had some AG6 batteries left over, possibly from when I got some for the normal head. As I've said on here before, its a little ridiculous the amount of tiny batteries I've amassed because all these figures manage to use different sizes.

    EDIT:

Finally got around to assembling this guy with the new head:

Alas, I don't actually have the shelf space to display him in combined mode, but he looks too good to take back apart.

And here's a vid of the new voice clips:

    The gang is all here!!

I haven't yet installed the helicopter blades on Whirlblade. Wish that Zeta could have developed a clip and release mechanism for the blades...

But overall, I think this is a fine looking group!!

Eventually, I might disassemble my Constructor and do a big ol' group shot. Though I am not sure I have the space available to capture all the figures.

    Cheers!!

I'm down to the last bot, Blitzkrieg! Collecting a little of everything is no small feat I tell ya. Now that price plus the shipping...

What an absolute unit. Looks great. It’d be cool if you did some pics with the constructiboys as well. Heck maybe do the whole arm swap thing when combining.

Got Catapult in from Toy Dojo today. An unexpected surprise inside the box was the alternate head for Bruticus. I hadn’t even messaged Eddie to see if he was going to be getting them in, even though I did buy all five from him. Just goes to show the high caliber of customer service he provides.

Very much leaning towards ,the Zeta Bruticus set, how did you get the legs/thighs grey (cartoon accurate)? Did you paint them, or is there an alternate piece you can get I'm not aware of? Still wish there was a way to have Swindle turned around, the way he should be, top part facing front.

Today I bought some SR920SW batteries, should be the same as AG6, I’ve put 3 in the original head, not the toon one, and when I push the button the eyes blink and there is a sound like a space toy gun

Had to paint them. Maybe Zeta will come out with a combiner pants/chest plate that is a different color, but who knows. I suppose he’s not as popular as devy so there might not be as much of a demand for repaints.

It’s not that hard to take apart the combiner pants, and there are only a few 1/16 pins to pull which isnt bad. The pins smaller can be a pain.

I guess I prefer swindle backwards on this set because it’s less noticeable that he’s not a Jeep.

Annoyed, my Armageddon's right hand sheared off at the wrist as I was trying to close Take Off (Blast Off) around the peg... :/

I’d take it that painting without taking it apart is unrealistic?

I could literally see the shape of the 2 needed retainers that would fix the swindle connection. I’m shocked no one has attempted to make this yet

Depends on what you want. I find it easier to sand and spray when it’s taken apart. BSF did a video with a person spraying his bruticus and it wasn’t taken apart, so you really don’t have to.

I'd love to spray it grey, but I have literally 0 experience with that sort of thing. As well as "sanding", yeah, I don't even understand the point of doing that first. I'd be better off paying someone who knows how lol.
