Oh, wow, they're not for me but they both look brilliant, the little touches like Megatron's melted chest and Jazz being able to be torn in half are so good.
Only thing I think looks bad are Megatron's hands but then they've always looked stupid as hell, like whoever designed him had everything other aspect nailed except the hands, only had 10 seconds left on the deadline and just drew some squiggles for fingers and called it a day.

This Jazz looks really good to me. More accurate than even the usual MPM. The only major innacuracies I can spot is the bumpers in the feet and the doors on the shoulders instead of those two deformed panels made of the doors in the actual model. A lesser version of all those "lets put the real truck part here intead of the deformed part on the actual model" compromises that MPM-4 Optimus made

So it’s like a 50/50 chance whether he ends up film accurate or blue? Usually these kinds of stock pictures are pretty representative of the final toy, plus it’s hard to tell what color he was at the reveal due to the poor lighting.

I’ve been looking at the spine. It’s pretty clearly a nice silver and also a noticably different color from Jazz himself when you’re looking at the stock pictures. But I can’t tell how the spine’s color compares to Jazz’s color in the in-hand reveal pics cause, again, the lighting.

Even if he does end up blue, it’s not bad, he’s still a nicely painted good looking figure, but it would end up yet another inaccurate deco blunder for MPM.

I dunno if the word I'd use would be blunder, because the Megatron is very inaccurate in color scheme to the final movie colors, but I feel like that is precisely why he looks so good. He has more color that lets him pop better than the film's look.

In the same way I feel like a cool silver Jazz is alot more visually interesting than his actual movie-color tone.

I never said MPM Bumblebee was perfect and I prominently and have stated before I have issues with them re-using the face-sculpt for MPM-3. While the backpack compressed neatly, yes, it does have quite a profile from the side but people have praised this transformation none-the-less as well as everything else about the figure. I'm no toy designer, but how could they engineer or design him to be sleeker from the side? They already got the kibble to fold into the torso WITHOUT breaking the sculpt of the vehicle mode. Just because they couldn't perfectly design a character doesn't mean they didn't design a good mold and I honestly cannot see how they could've done it any better as it is. Did you want the backpack to fold a few more times? Risking the structural integrity of the figure? The way transformation is designed warrants such a profile and that kibble can't be crammed in any further. They designed the rest of the figure to be slim, you would have to completely re-engineer and compromise the rest of it to get a slim backpack.

So if a 3P can do it better why haven't they? Also it's not like they were designing this figure for 11 years. It's faulty logic again to imply it's inexcusable that 'they couldn't do this but a certain 3P did that', it's not a valid reason for criticism. You base criticism on what exists and no such original 3P MPM Bumblebee exists for a proper comparison. Yeah, UT made sleek robots but even they aren't perfect and have problems themselves but they are not Bumblebee and are completely different design aesthetics intended to be kibble-less whereas Bumblebee has purposeful kibble so he needs to transform a certain way unlike that of UT's Peru kill for a closer comparison (if you want to call it that). You also point out the backpack as being inexcusable, then proceed to say that's not the problem but in fact that they didn't design him to be sleek from the side, which the problem comes back to the backpack but sure.

Basing criticism on the probability of a better overall design invalidates your argument since you don't know how it would work or what it would look like - since such a solution isn't available - so it excuses existing design flaws for what they are as a consequence if they can't be helped, and in this case it is. By making the assumption that 3Ps can do it better when they've never attempted at making an MPM Bee themselves is illogical and discredits the Takara designers despite the good work they've done, which is why I find it distasteful when people criticize a design on the basis of a completely different design and engineering approach of a completely different figure. These sort of expectations diminish your appreciation for these movie figures since the original designs are difficult to replicate in the first place.

Will we see MPM Starscream anytime soon? :D  Just joking, these two will be more than enough for now. Maybe for 2020 we’ll see Ratchet and Starscream. Then 2021 Blackout and Bonecrusher, or Brawl?

I definitely will get both Jazz and Megatron. However, I also intend to get an OS KO of Megatron just for better scaling, because at this point WJ Prime will be my definitive MPM of the character. But I want the official version to support Takara obviously

Not likely but I'd really love to have an optional head sculpt of Megatron's unused "standard" mode. We've never gotten a proper toy for it 29F64D5F-5D1B-4B76-B2C5-05193D3330CD.jpeg

I use blunder because I feel that the decos on some of the MPMs have had issues too big to look past for me. Prime’s gray arms and inaccurate silver paint on his forehead made me sell him in favor of the super premium Legendary Toys KO. Barricade’s deco as a whole is pretty inaccurate to the film, with all the silver on his face and the blue on his arms/legs, so I sold him too and replaced him with the Black Mamba KO. I don’t want to buy KOs, I want to enjoy having authentic figures in my collection, but the KOs have the colors that these figures should have had in the first place IMO.

I don’t disagree with you. Despite the inaccuracies, I think the decos look good. Even the figures I called out as blunders have very nice colors. But it’s not accurate, and I want the figures to have film accurate decos, even if that means they end up less interesting.

It's not that they won't be good toys, it's just that Megatron never ever was a good design. Nothing compliments itself and it's such an ugly shimsham

Kneeling screaming girl with somersault action?
Get him wet and he dissolves in a rust pile (but once he dries out he's whole again)?
    Mojo with "leaking lubricants" action?

Man, Jazz is so close to being right on the money. (Looks much better in the official pics than at the convention.) Such a shame they couldn't find a better spot for that mess of shoulder kibble!

Im happy with my HA Jazz, i think that really shows how ahead of its time that figure was. Depending on reviews, i may still get the MPM.

So far, this MPM Megs is thr best movie megatron we have received from hasbro (ss voyager megs is a close 2nd and TLK voyager megs behind that). that just goes to show how not impressive movie megs figures have been the past 12 years

When are these two slated to come out?
With delays in the MP line, I'm curious as to if these will also be delayed.
