Yup Toyworld does put out a lot of re-issues and re-colours. Unfortunately these are from Zeta.

 

Given my firefly was less than stellar I was a bit apprehensive with this one, especially given the push to get it out before CNY. Happily I had no reason to be, slingshot has none of the shaky looseness of his mold mate.

Bot is OK, he makes a great plane and I do like the efforts they have made with nods to the real aircraft.

But his destiny is to be an arm so on he goes.

Really hope they get the last one out before CNY now, superion is looking a little sad sat on my desk with no legs on.

 

I'm thinking mine will probably do about 50% of their time in combined mode and 50% in robot mode. That'll probably change once I get the rest of XTB's Menasor, though - having those combiners go up against each other is going to be amazing.

 

And after a week and a half of no movement, Silverbolt is suddenly no longer in jail at ISC NY. It shows as having arrived in Atlanta about noon today. There may be an off chance it makes the rest of the journey by tomorrow, but I'm thinking more likely Monday. I'm just happy to see movement at last. LOL Okay, looks like I do get Silverbolt before Slingshot.

As to how they will be displayed. I expect a mixture, too. I will undoubtedly have them combined at times but I like the individual bots and have no plans to buy another set of them regardless so at least some of the time in individual bot modes. Although realistically they take up less surface space (which is at a premium) when they are combined...

I have Zeta Bruticus and the batteries needed are AG6, if you give a look inside the battery slot you can find the kind of batteries you have to use (1,55 V). I think that the batteries are the same for Superion.

 

My Slingshot will land tomorrow, really looking forward to him and slapping that new head on Fireflight!

 

Perhaps, but part of me also wonders if we are getting younger and younger fans and designers who weren't around when the original toy, toon, comics, and secondary sources were out and around and have a hybrid idea/memory of what a character should look like. those people would then default to a "master" source....and the biggest one would be the toon? anyway, zetas first two ox/toyish heads look good...honestly aside from silverbolt only slingshot's head was memorable...and zeta went two tone on catapault (which episodes was it two tone or is that ox?).

Sounds like the fourth limb figure should be arriving sometime next week to TCP. Then Slowboat Silverbolt sometime after that and the team will all be together.  

 

I truly hope so, if thats the case it would be amazing. Did you hear from TCP about Downthrust possibly landing next week?

 

Suits me just fine, I'd rather get them all as one lump anyway. I'll ship my stash when Slower Arrow arrives. I got the Zeta Combaticons all at once and it was pretty nice to be able to just make Bruticus all in one go instead of having to wait for each release. On the other hand, transforming all 5 buggers in one evening made my fingers bleed.

 

Personally I'm loving that TCP are going to the extra effort of shipping by boat the plane who is afraid to fly.
