This is most likely because they lost their main design team, now Zeta Toys, and are struggling to find a profitable niche. Movie, Beast Wars, Legends scaled G1... let’s see where things pan out and which becomes the most successful.

True & I hope that it works out for them, I definitely dig BW Megs here & it's looking like a buy for me. Just hope they don't spread themselves too thin with so many lines.

I just wonder what would happen if hasbro increased the budget for the legends scale in the “same way” they did for the deluxes. Like, if we could ever get something like this. Hell, I dunno if they reach this level of awesomeness with the top tier deluxes. Close, but yet so far away. The technology is there hasbro...stop penny pinching! I’m sick of the recent justification of the downsizing as well as the upsizing of the price. “They are all in on scale” is becoming an EXCUSE. I’m not gonna lie, picking up Siege Ultra Magnus and feeling how heavy it is DOES kinda make it feel like it’s worth the Leader price, but when I pick up the Shockwave behind it and it’s soooo much lighter it feels like they are setting us up for much worse in the future.

    Anyways.

    Love this thing!

    Transmetal - Transformers Wiki

If they do all 12 moulds from Transmetals 1 (minus Optimal Optimus and Dragon Megatron) over 3-4 years, it should be good.

Cheetor and Inferno could get repaints.

    Transmetals 2 isn't as necessary.

    12 moulds:

    Cheetor/Ravage/Tigatron
    Rattrap
    Rhinox (non-TV)
    Airrazor (non-TV)

    Tarantulas
    Waspinator
    Terrorsaur (non-TV)

    Inferno/Scavenger
    Optimus Primal
    Megatron

    Depthcharge
    Rampage

    Maybe add Dinobot from TM2.

    Both factions seem balanced.

Well, that sure looks nice! I\'m really loving the scale. In my opinion, it works better for Beast Wars than for G1, since the figures can fit into a CHUG or MP display just as easilly as they can their own self-contained shelf.

The current story I've heard is that ToyWorld no longer have an exclusive arrangement with one group of designers (as they did with Zeta) and instead are contracting with independent designers or purchasing pre-existing designs. It gives them a bit of a random body of work at the moment but also lets them feel out different niches and work out where the money is.

Even though I would have him destroying MP 44's face and I am a HUGE BW Megatron fan(best Megatron) and TM Megs is my fav body of his, from what I've seen...unless they change the face and add more detail to the body...I'd rather just have the original. Whatever company does end up attempting TM Megatron I hope they can mold him so we can put him in his icon pose as he double fits his laser gun tail to destroy OP face.

Loving the idea of Legends-scale Beast Wars figures... that's a small enough scale I wouldn't mind integrating them into a CHUG display, or just having them do their own little thing.

The figure... looks good. Not great. Needs a better expression. Doesn't have to be a toy-accurate Ninja Turtle snarl, but BW Megs with a completely flat expression is... odd.

Some people have said they'd just prefer the original, and I get that, but... it's not like the original is easy to come by, what with the GPS and being 20 years old. If you have one (and are comfortable playing with it), great, but this is going to be great for me. Honestly surprised there aren't more takes on this form, or even straight KOs. It's a popular body and the original is hard to get and incredibly fragile.

My main concern, unlike my fellow Beast Wars comrades, is not the scale. It is ToyWorld. They tend to not bring their A game from time to time, and they have weak headsculpts and small hands. Looking at you, Whiskey Jack.

That's simply a testament to how good the original toys actually were.
But this one's articulation (pose-ability) is miles better.
They need to give Rhinox's face back… but this looks REALLY nice.

Tho it looks even smaller than the original, I may still pick it up.
Now… Bring on that MP TM Megs!!!

I have been waiting for someone to make Transmetal Beast wars figures, those are my favorites, but Legends size?? I dunno bout that. I hope they keep going, because if I can get a few of the Predacons I'll make them their own group, but who knows it that'll happen.

This just goes to show how easy it’ll be for TT to give us the perfect TM Megatron with tons of articulation. This thing is puny but looks great- except for the face. That’s the main thing that’s stopping it being an insta-buy. I can handle close enough at this scale but this one is miles off. Looks like someone stuffed a frog in a can.

But if there’s a whole cast on the way then I’d like them purely to play with. My MPs are for posing in a gorgeous display which seldom changes so it’d be really nice to get some cheaper little versions that I could transform often and recreate all my favourite moments from the show.

Ultimately I’m in support of any new Beast Wars figures even if they aren’t what I’d ideally want.

The face does look off. It does have that Rhinox vibe...

    But other than that, "Yesssssss..."

The bot face needs fixed, and I'd like some articulation in the dino arms and robot hands. The the calves could be thicker too. Loving the dino face though.

I don't mind the size of this guy at all. If anything I'd love even smaller transformers that were high detail. I was so disappointed when they stopped making the mini diecast figures for the Hasbro Asia masterpieces. I would kill for a whole Beast Wars mini diecast... cast. Anyway, if he's around $40 or under I will definitely be picking this up.
