You are ignoring my point. Cheetor was also priced higher at 99.99 and then dropped to 74.99. There's no proof of anything because neither can be proven.

In my original statement I only observed that BBTS has dropped their price, but I was told there's no price drop. It's like some guy finds some money on the street and then refuses to acknowledge the fact.

I do see where you’re coming from.

Since Cheetor came out February 2017, he’s due a reissue from Takara by now. That’s why he’s cheaper.

Dinobot only came out half a year ago. It might be a little early for the TT reissue, so there might not be a price drop - this might only be a Hasbro Asia release (especially since that actually still hasn’t happened, from what I understand). When is Dinobot due?

    Anyway, that’s my point.

I would apply some dish soap to that so the broken area is taking less strain whenever you move the gun barrel.

I always thought it was a silly joint, having to rotate that part puts unnecessary strain on the pin..it's also always been stiff. I didn't lubricate it as I barely ever use the tail gun. Good plan regarding dish soap.

There's a crack forming right though the joint down towards the pin on both sides.

That's unfortunate. They really made some questionable design choices regarding hinges for the shoulders, wrist guards, and apparently, the gun. This is one of the most visually impressive MPs in both modes, IMO but things like this are a real problem

He's a delicate flower that's for sure...at least he's not an (excessively) expensive one.

Be careful with dish soap as that's what made the plastic (same as this joint) on my Cheetor's arm guards brittle and crumble.

You might be better off getting some proper silicone spray designed to be used on R/C card/toys/plastic.

Interesting- if that’s true, a lot of MP Dinobot owners are in for some trouble. When he first came out the thread was full of posters who mentioned using soap on the shoulders (without any actual evidence) to prevent the ratchets from breaking

It probably has to do with the chemical composition of the dish soap. For all I know 99% of the brands are perfectly safe. It's just that the particular one I used caused issues for me.
Still, I would still urge anyone to use with caution.

The issues became apparent quite soon after use. Seeing as there are no reports of breakage on Dinobot, i reckon they're alright.

Considering my replacement Cheetor now also has a cracked arm-guard (why oh why did I even bother handling this thing?!!) I'm so tempted to pick up a Reissue while the price is sub £40 at AE...........

    Annoying.

Reissue just arrived. Couldn’t find any news about mold revisions so I’ll clarify that the reissue Cheetor does have the remolded shoulders. They stay clipped together so much better now.

While transforming my old cheetor back to cat mode I really noticed just how much I hate the old shoulder design.

Really happy they saw a mistake in their work and fixed it promptly.

Fuuuuck I'm gonna end up getting reissue Cheetor, aren't I?

How are the joint tolerances compared to the original? Forward shoulder swings, wrist hinges, etc?

Mine is lovely all around. But I’ve heard another say the tolerances are tight. Personally I’m a positive guy so I’d assume tolerances are better flushed out for most people. Just an assumption.

I'm really happy to....but come on TakaraTomy do you have to have a practice run at every Beast Wars figure? Primal's shoulder pads, Cheetor s shoulders, Dinobot's shoulder ratchets....(I'm noticing a theme) and now possible issues with Megatron's crotch?

That aside I'm really looking forward to getting my reissue!
