So glad I slapped down a preorder last week. These boys are absolutely epic. The chonk is hefty. Also Magnus has always meant a lot to me since my Grandparents got me the G1 toy when I was 4. I've been pumped for this guy as he's the first update to do the full Magnus. Its insane how 'right' this feels. Top Magnus. Shockwave is great too, really feels like a Marvel Legends toy in a good way, hes a pricy Voyager with dress up clothes from one view, but the core toy is solid as a rock. Feels like no corners were cut. The core figure definitely feels more 'expensive' than Megatron does.

That is an amazing price, if I didn't already have one (with the launchers) I'd be all over it

Dammit Napalm... My resistance to buying this is crumbling. Can I ask, is the new chest removable to accommodate core figures or is that solid?

Dare I say... with all those extra weapons... he can deal with this now?

Damn your eyes! For a split second I thought there had been a sneaky G1 Crankcase announced.

Given the amount of exclusives that we had last year, I'd not rule out a few other Deluxe cons bubbling to the surface in the next few months. But any exclusives are going to have a hard time topping the Repugnus/ Counterpunch combo of sexiness.

Oh and belated happy Birthday @Brooticus !

The new PE Cryotek looks amazing, but I think I would have to go for the inevitable NeoArtToys KO version for the cost and possibly the better QC.

I was browsing through the 'next Leader Truck' thread, and the discussion about Hyperdrive (this guy Hyperdrive (Turbomaster) - Transformers Wiki) got me thinking about how third parties might be missing a trick bringing up versions of the figures that never got made. Like Hyperdrive, 'New Rodimus', the Megatron/ Galvatron triple change and what-not.

I'd buy the shit out of some of these.

Who is the dude at the bottom?

Looking at the Hyperdrive art again has once again convinced me that Ultra Magnus will make a fine representation. with Thunderclash inner obviously.

Question is what colours should I go for or should I base it all on Thunderclash's trailer

It's removable as he comes with a random bagged core. I got a redeco of the ones that came with Dai X.

That guy at the bottom is Big Bang (Big Bang - Transformers Wiki) he was bumped from Zone to make way for Star Convoy.

That is a good question for Hyperdrive. I can't see him in anything but Thunderclash colours.

    Cool!

You may have just sold me on Cog, you monster. I don’t have a Fortress Maximus, think the main figure is ugly and the gimmick looks shite BUT he looks like he’s SUPPOSED to go with Magnus. Swine.

Haven’t transformed him yet but I love robit mode - easily the best looking MP Hound around, including the upcoming HasTak one.

Wow Big Bang looks sexy af never knew the story behind him or saw the alt, only saw the robot sketch in the generations book.

Yeah I agreee hyperdrive to me is thunderclash coloured.

God dam I would absolutely love a 3p new Rodimus, especially in g1 toy flavour. I’ve considered making one tbh I’m that keen on his design.

To be honest I just really love when we get a different leader toy I suppose and someone else takes the spot light other than prime.

What are people’s fave autobot leaders?

    1. Rodimus
    2. Star sabre
    3. Optimus
    4. Thunderclash
    5. Fortress

Star Sabre. Even though I don't rate his alt mode highly. Looks excellent as victory sabre.

Wish he was about twice as big, and som of the faces are sticky to touch. Doesn't leave fingerprints or feels soft and smooshy, just whatever plastic they used is sticky. But only a couple of faces. Overall though, he's nice. Maybe not quite worth the full price, but close. If he was on sale, I'd certainly pick up a couple more. Sculpts are nice and defined. The faces you put on yourself so i lined them up with the kranix execution scene.

Kapow has ironhide and the battle damage Megatron. Unless you're after one a bit cheaper. Or the undamaged version.

Had a bit more time to play with Siege Magnus and Shockers. I love them both but to my surprise, I think I like Shockwave the most. Yup, he's small. I'm over it. He's just a great quality toy, and I'm really enjoying finding new armour-up configurations - though I think I enjoy the Mighty Hovering Science Platform the most. I can just imagine him zooming around his giant lab on it, attending to his projects doing important logical shit.

I'm still loving magnus, but the shoulder armour that doesn't lock properly is a bit annoying. I know it can be rectified with a little bit of plastic shaving, but I don't trust myself to royally fuck it up.

I mean... I love them all. Plus Magnus.

And prime in waiting Springer ;)

Got mine today. Love them. Shockwave is small, but as many of you have pointed out perfectly formed.

But I'm loving the Magnus. I've had no issue with the shoulders thankfully. He needs a damn hammer!!
