I think the days of Tarkara upping the bar against Hasbro are over . Everything’s the same across the board now . I guess that include the price as well.

 

But the price isn't the same. You can import for cheaper. Something is wrong with that picture, and we have to be smarter as a fandom and reject being taking advantage of.

 

Well , when you cut out the middle man , of course it will be cheaper . American online retailers will soon realize , they either need to compete with over seas prices , or face the consequences of what may happen.

 

This might be my first "+" anime repaint but still need a little convincing.

Also, as the car mode is a bit plain, is anyone using the Eness/Ocean style stickers?

 

Hopefully these will convince you. Besides the anime deco, the insides of his feet are now painted and his joints are tighter all around than the original release. I excluded his launcher accessories as they're not cartoon accurate, but they're still cool to have.

I was going to come in and say that the original MP-17 is a great figure, and the darker glass goes with the S2 bots anyway, but uh.. yeah DML changed my mind on that. 17+ is superior, tighter overall, and the blue glass and grey bumper make a big positive difference to his look

Hmmm. What's the story behind the slip covers on top of the regular MP-17+ boxes? Mine didn't come like that. It included the MP-17+ coin though.

Supposedly this is how Hasbro Asia is "repackaging" all of their co-releases of Takara MPs. However, it's strange, mine did not come with a slipcover either and it DID come with the coin, so it seems like they didn't package the first few shipments of MP-17+ this way for whatever reason.
