Makes sense but all planes look a bit silly with hollow wings. At least they finally did something about it. Nice, I might finally add a seeker or 2 or 3 to my collection.

Already all in on the first three, I'm really happy with what I'm seeing with these guys.
I wonder if we will get Acid Storm?

Wow, you can really see the difference between the archaic and clumsy MP-11 mould and the more dynamic Maketoys take in these shots. Even posed in a fairly clean upright position, the Meteor's look so much more lifelike and posable. I get that some hate the smooth toon look of Meteor but I am honestly surprised that ANYONE could prefer MP-11's stiff awkwardness. It's like C3PO cos-playing as Coneheads.
Add no offense meant to @Turbine027, I love your collection, always have.

But urrrgghhh, I really can't stand MP-11. Selling off my Ramjet, even at a substantial loss, was still one of the best decisions I've made in this hobby.

I'm still content to wait for Maketoys to finish their Coneheads. At this point, the only thing that would make me second-guess would be Takara releasing a new Seeker mould, and even then it would have to be pretty damn amazing to make me commit to their crazy prices.
    I kind of doubt it.
Yes, Sunstorm was done as a Crowd-Fund and they do include a green silhouette on the page:

But while it did get funding, I don't think the final totals were that amazing (edit: yep 562 sold and they needed 500, so pretty close to the wire), and given the current issues with other Crowd-funded Transformers, I suspect (and kind of hope) that folks are a little bit more wary of supporting that kind of business model. Not to try and paint Maketoys with the MAAS brush, but it hopefully has brought home for some people just how risky the Crowd-Fund idea is for collectors. Support these companies sure but do so in a way that makes them accountable for their actions.
Additionally, thinking back, I remember the Seeker KOs were supposed to come in a vast array of deco's including the really obscure purple ones etc. Don't think that ever happened? Did we even see KO's of the Rainmakers?

To believe that it has been six months since that crowdfunding effort. I remember it had a slow start, and gained momentum within the last couple of weeks before the cut-off date, with so many having doubts about it, for a variety of reasons. I do agree with you that the business model of crowd-funding is a precarious route that is far from the best approach to take, especially at the potential cost for the consumer. I would like to say it is somewhat reassuring that an established, long-time company such as Maketoys took to this avenue to pursue a character that would have not come into creation, within this mold that is, which can somewhat explain why only 500 were needed instead of a much higher volume that first or more unique molds would have required. Still, it isn't a path that the other 3rd party companies would be wise to take, unless they can successfully deliver sound products by doing so with minimal to no QC and no hiccups along the way. Even providing that much leeway remains unsettling for me to go along with however.

With that said, I did chip in for Solarflare, and if that is delivered just as good, if not better, than their other seekers, I might be willing to do so again for Acid Storm, should it ever happen. As for the Coneheads, I intend to get those as well through the conventional means that Maketoys have already done thus far. And for the MP-11 molds, yeah, I like to think Maketoys did a phenomenal job putting those to shame, but I put all of those into their alt-modes so I could leave the bot modes of Maketoys as is. If Takara were to do a V3 of the seekers, that'll be a high bar to reach, and given their recent MO, some may find those to be off-putting (i.e. excessive panel lines, odd backpacks, ever-increasing price hikes), but I guess we won't know until that reveal happens, if ever.

Yes....If you backed the kick starter, otherwise no, you can't get one and Maketoys have said there are zero chances of anymore than the 500 being made.

Well is that their fault or yours lol? I mean do what you want but these are gonna be way better for me and I will gladly wait.
Eh I’d prefer the dreamwave one anyway. But I still think it’d be cool if they did protype grey blank ones to customise.

Honestly, I think it's pretty weak they went the kickstarter route, I hope other companies don't follow.

I hate that color scheme for Sunstorm. I know it’s cartoon faithful, but the Sunstorm I liked was from the comic: All yellow with orange chest and undies and white forearms and feet

Hmm, well April is here and it's still very quiet on the Coneheads front. They are listed as arriving this month and we haven't even seen colour renders... I really hope they're not delayed by too much.
