I really look forward to seeing a "Black combiner" group shot now there is several of them.

I like them they remind me of the plot to Galaxy Force / Cybertron and Nemesis Breaker / Dark Liger Jack.
I'd love to see a Black Metroplex one day too.

I just picked up Thousandkills for $70 ...and so the slow journey of piecing together a Poseidon begins. I figure once I get about one bot away from completion a $300 giftset will be available.

I think I perfer the aqua colors. So perhaps a dumb question, there are six members, where does the sixth one go in combined mode? Is one skipable?

Each one except for the guy that forms the body can become a gun for the combined mode. It's really up to you which limbs you want to get, each one can become an arm, leg, or gun.

I think Cyberjaw (the shark one) is supposed to be the gun since he might be a tiny bit smaller than the others, but technically any of the limb bots you want can be any leg, any arm or the gun.

You can turn the 6th one into their weapon. you can also turn the 6th one into stationary gun sized for an individual bot or the combiner.

The idea (in Transformers terms) is that each "Seacon" has a different weapon function of spark-super power that they can utilise in their weapon mode - so you get different defensive and offensive effects depending on who is where in the combination.

But the idea in general of having a "spare" Team member is so they can send a part of themselves off to perform a small task without having to decombine. The Squid being ideal for hold a sub hostage or using the Manta Ray's limited flight capabilities etc..

You can still make a giant robot with out all 6 sure (and I rather like the idea of someone making a way to make the 6th team member back mounted too) But there are reasons to have 6 of them and other combiners have 6 team members too so it's hardly unheard of.

The combination options might be more appealing to some people depending on their kibble or the colour balance too or even which one makes the best looking gun. (The squid/Octopus makes a rather neat capture weapon too if you leave the long tenticles on it).

I been asking @ShadowOfSilver to get on that! Hopefully it'll be his next project after the sales of his Zeta Armegeddon kits cool down. But who knows, he might work on their Aerialbots or something else next.

I'll assume you're unfamiliar with the G1 Seacons? Piranacon is a *targetmaster* combiner. The sixth member is the combined form's gun. Not essential, but it is the team's "gimmick", beyond being a combiner.

They have the scramble city feature, so the only bot you have to have is Ironshell (torso), you can pick the other four limbs up based on your personal preferences, be mindful that each member comes with a different part for the combined mode, so the only one you really "don't need" is 1K kills since he doesn't come with a foot or a hand, he just comes with an upgrade piece for Poseidon, which also serves as an additional stand for gun mode. You can use the six limb member as a targetmaster, but it only could be held as a "rifle" (two handed held weapon) instead of a regular gun due to the weight.

I didn’t have him as a toy and only know him from Masterforce where I don’t remember him using another member as a gun.

Well rats thousandkills is my most wanted. I was hoping the feet and hands came with the turtle and I could skip Bigbite or the shark.

I keep going back and forth on this guy but I haven’t seen a deal I couldn’t pass up yet.

I’m still holding out hope a steal pops up.

You can, although the idea is that the last team member is used in weapon mode for the combined figure... however, it's well recognised by now that none of the elbow joints are strong enough to support the weight of those weapons, so it's a bit pointless.

A solution I liked, and allows all members of the team to be used in the combined mode, is to get an aftermarket piece (I got mine from the member "shadowofsilver" here) that adapts Thousandkills tentacles into a massive grasping claw.

    Sorry for the wrong perspective.

Here’s all the combinations I tried a while back. The last pic is the version I settled on. Still love this set.

"Using Overbite as his gun" is his signature pose/move from the series:

    upload_2019-1-19_20-48-26.jpeg

I think I recall a commercial bumper with it too, but couldn't find a copy online. Also couldn't find the scene I remember where he like bursts up from beneath some ice, and fires Overbite the moment he emerges.

But all in all---using a fellow Seacon as a gun is VERY much his thing.

i am using this combination sans the foot ankle add-ons, i like the short bulky look and my legs and arms are swapped on each side, and i used the burgundy stand to hold metal shark like a turret
