I think if anything we're more likely to get a weaponizer Tidal Wave to use as a upgrade to existing figures, rather than Titan Class. Nothing says the weaponizers have to be deluxe size, might get him as another voyager, leader as a long-shot.

 

I vehemently disagree. They would look so out of place with the Siege figures. It would defeat the point of making a trilogy line if the figures from the 2nd or 3rd line don't fit the style of the 1st. The molded details are fantastic and I like the weathering detail. Could it use some inprovements? Sure, but it's nice to have. It's kind of hilarious people are complaining about having too many paint apps after so many years of not enough paint apps. I get it if you don't like the look of the line but this is the direction they're going with, at least for the wfc trilogy.

 

To be fair, there's no way a Titan could be reasonably produced in Siege scale. Metroplex alone would be over 22 meters tall. If(when) we get Scorponok, he'll probably be regular Titan class size.

 

Any chance of a picture of Ultra Magnus with MP28? (or even MP40 same basic figure)

Instantly the best toy of the line and I'm not even that big a fan of Cybertron.  

Hopefully they live up to this and make more non-G1 characters.

 

Bought Optimus today, and found an easy mod for his back flap: It just pops right off by removing it at the twist joint.

I have spare weapon parts to use- I’ll make his cab roof into a shield. ^_^

 

Probably the best thing to come out of Armada, Tidal Wave would have been perfect if they could just give him correctly bending knees (a rotating thigh would have been good enough, though the feet would have been sideways), and to a lesser extent, a rotating head. Unfortunately you can’t blame a lack of modernity on Armada’s articulation issues. G2, BW, BM & RiD all had ‘modern’ articulation, and all predated Armada. They just chose to go a different direction with Armada, abandon certain things, try new ones. Fortunately they realized the abandoned stuff needed to come back.


I know, I know, this post really isn’t contributing anything, but if I have an opportunity to shit on Armada, even a little, I’m taking it. But Tidal Wave was a great toy that could have been completely amazing, but to do so was a violation of the Armada game plan.

 

Never played the Armada video gave. But to be quite honest, the idea of a boss stage in a game being taken literally by the game itself is just so charming. I don't think that the idea could be realized with anything less than a Titan class figure. I mean I'd want weaponizing as well, but there could be something like a locker inside one of Tidal Wave's alt modes that could deploy smaller, weapon mode versions of his components.

I'll take the rest of this to the speculation thread though. I just had a thought I wanted to share.

 

Now I'm really thinking they'll use the TR Scourge mold to make a new Thunderblast figure for this line.

Not sure if I'll ever be able to bring myself to remove the battle damage. I rarely notice it, plus I'd have to take out his faction symbol with everything else. Might try painting on some tail lights though.
