Gigatron would win because he has tens in every field, whereas Sixshot does not.

I personally think Sixshot takes this through superior stats and skills.

First off, I'm going to assume Gigatron is at his absolute best. Takings all his feats from Car Robots/RID and his appearances in IDW comics, his stats from tech specs and general scaling from other characters. I'll use his most powerful form, too, Devil Gigatron (Galvatron) and we can even throw in his combined form in claw mode with the Megastar base that fought Brave maximus. So.

Even ignoring that Sixshot was recently revealed to be the true identity of the OP-as-hell Greatshot. Sixshot at his best exceeds anything Gigatron has shown in terms of strength, speed, durability, skill, and so on.

    Strength
For strength, Gigatron never does anything that impressive on his own. Then again he never does much of anything on his own and his stature is mostly a matter of status than accomplishment. All we know is that he starts off like most leaders with a strength rating of 10 as Gigatron and that by the end of things as Devil Gigatron he has a rating of '?'. He's obviously more powerful but this is basically him being stronger to an unknown degree. Who else has a rating of all ?'s besides rank? God Fire Convoy/Omega Prime. Devil Gigatron is his equal at minimum. Devil Gigatron amplified his own powers by draining humans, but to an unknown degree. Omega Prime defeats him in the climax of the series in the Earth's core but he needed to amplify his power with the Mastersword. We can give Devil Gigatron one thing: He, when combined with the Megastar, can smack around Brave Maximus who's 350 meters tall.

Sixshot has a lot of things going for him. He's a powerhouse in the Headmasters anime physically capable of harassing gestalts like Raiden and bullying Ultra Magnus, and in IDW comics as a Phase Sixer he bodied pretty much anyone and physically rivaled Optimus Prime and then some. In terms of strength that's all that really needs to be said. Optimus Prime in IDW showed a high durability in walking off kinetic harpoons, the Toraxxis mega-refinery explosion, and being stomped on by Trypticon. Sixshot clearly would've gotten the better of Optimus Prime in their encounter. Sixshot's strength can harm characters that can survive country-destroying attacks. IIRC Gigatron seemingly struggles with Drift in IDW.

At his best Devil Gigatron can physically trade blows with Brave Maximus and God Fire Convoy. That also puts him above Valdigus/Ruination and Black Convoy/Scourge. But that still means, basically, he's superior to an unknown degree to characters that can destroy cities. Sixshot can body much tougher opponents.

    Speed
Sixshot absolutely takes this. We don't even need to find feats. His attacks are hypersonic with his concussion rifles and lightspeed in gun mode (being literal lasers). His reactions should be near there and even then he has massively hypersonic speed in jet form at over Mach 104 or 80,000 mph. If I wanted to lowball him his other modes in the Rebirth episodes easily dispatched the entire Aerialbot team and they're all in the Mach speed range. You also notice he switches between modes both in the Rebirth series and also his toy commercial with extreme ease and speed. His Dreamwave profile claims he transforms 3x as fast as other Transformers, making his transformation speed even faster than Triple Changers (2x faster than others).

Gigatron may be fast in hand to hand combat against Drift, I guess. But at no point in his appearances, as far as I can recall, does he ever demonstrate amazing speed. Even his vehicle modes never show any particularly great speed or agility compared to Sixshot. In fact, we can't even use his tech specs for anything impressive since no other characters with speed ratings in the show bible have anything more impressive than his official speed: 700 kilometers per hour, or just over 430 mph. That's pathetic. I don't recall which form that is for though, perhaps just his racecar mode and not his jet mode. I don't think it makes a difference if it's his car mode. That's subsonic, and even if you multiplied it by 10x for his jet mode and another 10x for his speed as Devil Gigatron, that's still half of Sixshot's jet speed and that's still a big highball for Gigs. I'd provide more stats for Gigatron and others from the show bible but Scaleface's photobucket is gone and the assholes at the TFWiki are ******ed and deleted all the uploaded files from the bible so that information is completely lost until @Scaleface reuploads them, if he can. I hope so.

Sixshot on the face of it has faster combat, travel and attack speed. That's without having to dig for real feats of his either. Most G1 Decepticons are faster than light in space as least in the cartoon continuities.

    Durability
This is another category where Sixshot takes this easily. Let's be real here. Sixshot can survive a country blowing up, at minimum. In the Headmasters anime he completely tanks the explosion of the dwarf planet Juno, a 12 teraton-level explosion. On top of that, as a Phase-Sixer in IDW he survived getting stepped on by Metroplex twice. He shrugged off Optimus Prime, Hardhead and the others firing their weapons without safety inhibitors combined at max power. A serious punch from Optimus Prime barely cracked his armor which is essentially Transformer adamantium.

For Gigatron all I've got is scaling. He can punch around Brave Maximus without being hurt. Ok. He can take attacks from top tier characters in Car Robots. Ok. That's not great. Basically we know the attack power of Car Robots thanks to the tech specs and the bios.

Fire Convoy, JRX, Build King, God Magnus, Gigatron, Valdigus, Black Convoy all have firepowers of 10. Brave Maximus, God Fire Convoy, Devil Gigatron, and God Fire Convoy w/ Mastersword are all either a ? or a 10+. Valdigus' weapons are able to destroy an entire city. It's reasonable to assume that the other combiners and the commanders who all regularly duke it out with Valdigus, giving and taking hits, are comparable. Black Convoy is stated to have the firepower, though, of 12 commandos. Valdigus is made of 5 commandos. It stands to reason that Black Convoy is over 2x as powerful as Valdigus in the realm of firepower, putting him at the apex of the 10 rank tier. Everyone with a 10+ or ? is obviously above Black Convoy and the other 10's who are below him. So as Devil Gigatron and God Fire Convoy the commanders are clearly in a higher statistical bracket. And even without the Mastersword, God Fire Convoy's bio states his own power actually rivals Brave Maximus.

The fact that Devil Gigatron then survives his duel against God Fire Convoy w/ the Mastersword then is impressive... but it's not as impressive as surviving the explosion of Juno or getting repeatedly stepped on by a titan that in IDW could wipe out a half-dozen city states on Cybertron at terminal velocity.

    Firepower
This is repetitive but Sixshot takes this. While scaling would put Devil Gigatron's firepower at enough to destroy several cities, maybe, Sixshot in gun mode according to Optimus Prime in IDW comics can burn the entire Earth if ordered to.

    Skill and Intelligence
Sixshot despite his great power is no slouch mentally. His english bios state he isn't just bloodthirsty but also immensely intelligent worth twice as many troops as he has transformations. Sixshot in every continuity demonstrated considerable skill in directing his overwhelming power.

In Rebirth he single-handedly and swiftly dispatched the entire team of the Aerialbots. In Headmasters he's a literal ninja with mastery of several stealth tactics and powers including:
    • Mirages and disguises, appearing as others
    • A shadow mode cloaking him from radar in an electromagnetic shield and darkness
    • A stealth mode that refracts light making him invisible
    • Body doubles and physical clones giving him access to all his forms at once
    • A seventh mode combining all the powers of his main six modes.
His Titan Masters bio states he's a master of all combat types and subduing any target. In IDW comics as a Phase-Sixer he's not only basically invulnerable to most attacks but literally trained and designed to bring about planetary apocalypse. He's routinely shown, when on panel, to take on entire regiments of forces single-handedly.

Gigatron isn't a coward or a pussy, per se. But most of his time he sits on his ass ordering his grunts to get things done for him. When he finally gets more active as Devil Gigatron he barely demonstrated any skills besides energy vampirism and it certainly wasn't enough to actually accomplish the destruction of his rivals. 1-on-1 with his equal is rare and even then rarely yields anything impressive on his part. Even when presented with advantages he rarely gets the job done or uses his power effectively.

And this is all ignoring that Sixshot is now confirmed as the true identity of Greatshot from Victory. Why is that impressive? Greatshot's bio states that his power level is equal to Star Saber's. Star Saber, fyi, shrugged off an exploding reactor that could destroy 1/3 of a planet, survived a planet exploding in the Zone OVA, could blow up Deathsaurus' planet-killing fortress with his aura, and can summon the entire energy of a planet as his finisher move Planetary Impulse Sword. Yeah.

    In Conclusion?
Sixshot is superior in body, mind and power. And he's sufficiently trained and skilled to use them all to the best of his ability. Gigatron's actual showings pale in comparison to Sixshot's. Even scaling Gigatron to the most impressive feats and stats of others in Car Robots doesn't give him an edge. Even with the Megastar base and energy vampirism at his disposal Devil Gigatron falls short of Sixshot at his best, and doesn't come close to Greatshot.

The only way, based on evidence, Gigatron takes a win is if we take literally his title Dark God Of Destruction and Ultimate God Of Destruction. Or take God Fire Convoy's title Cybertron Strongest Commander literally which would make him stronger than G1 Optimus Prime / Convoy. And Sixshot is able to throw down with Optimus Prime anyway so yeah.

The disparity is outlined by the tech specs. In his base form, he simply outclasses Sixshot.

You can't both look to cannon to make you're argument, and throw it out the window at the same time. :p

Demonstrations of power are just that. Not putting that power on display doesn't mean it simply isn't.

Do you step on ants, just to prove your superiority?

That's a strawman argument. I used tech specs in relation to others in the same line. Comparing tech specs from Car Robots to 1987/Headmasters is stupid. Even within the same line stats from tech specs should be taken with a grain of salt and looked at in context. Otherwise Megatron, Piranacon and Scorponok are all the same strength.

Eh, I'd declare Gigatron the winner. We are talking about G1 Sixshot (throw out any and all post-G1 story and powers like Phase Six crap)...who was good but would lose in a fight with Gigatron, IMO.

IDW Sixshot, on the other hand, would give Gigatron a huge run for the money. But that's not applicable.

Also, as far as Sixshot being Greatshot, that's within Legends continuity? If so, that's ALSO post-G1 and not applicable.

No, sorry. IDW and Japanese G1 are G1. G1 is huge an not limited to the Sunbow cartoon or 80's comics. Let's not play no-true-Scotsman.

Sixshot doesn't need all his different showings to win this but it is pretty clear that he's consistently a top-tier threat even to commander-class characters. Even limiting Sixshot to one continuity doesn't hurt his chances. I've laid out extensively why Sixshot is stronger, faster, tougher and better.

There's nothing Gigatron brings to the table and nobody is bothering to actually make an argument here. Saying Gigatron wins because Sixshot would lose isn't an argument.

Or perhaps Megatron, Piranacon, and Scorponok would just have been more interesting subjects?

But since Devil Gigatron's specs indicate no upward limit, he still kills Sixshot.

    It's like Ali VS Superman.

Ali, with clearly defined limits in the sense that he's limited in terms of being human. Just as Sixshots specs are clearly defined.

    Devil Gigatron's are ?'s...

Gigatron turns into hand mode and pets Sixshot in puppy mode and they're both very happy and have a good day.

I think Megatron wins because he has better stats, and his design is a lot less blocky so he's probably faster and has better maneuverability do to his more stream lined design than the brick that is Sixshot.

Though Sixshot is probably stronger and more durable for the same reasons and Decepticons are supposedly more powerful than the Predacons but that's only in the English dub...

You said they couldn't get assistance but you didn't say anything about upgrades. If Megatron were to become Galvatron he could really gain an advantage losing his only weakness and gaining four extra modes. Though I'm going to assume he's going to stay Megatron the whole time cause that kinda feels like a cheat...

I also think Megatron would have an advantage in melee combat because his swords are energy blades which could easy cut through Sixshot's metal blade sword. Sixshot has better ranged weapons but I don't think he could keep at a distance to use them effectively. Like I said before he's a brick so not likely that he could move fast enough to keep Megatron out of Melee range.

The fact you don't say "IDW G1" like you say "Japanese G1" pretty much means you agree with me, even if you don't. But whatever.

It isn't. It's called IDW Transformers.

TFWiki tabbed it as "G1 Family Continuity" early on...and it stuck. But IDW Transformers is no more G1 than Prime or Cyberverse. At this point, TFWiki is wrong.

"IDW Transformers" is no less a G1 continuity than Marvel Transformers, Dreamwave Transformers of Sunbow Transformers. The publishing company is not relevant and whether or not IDW aesthetic fits your personal headcannon means nothing. It's officially a "Primax" universe, and that makes it G1. This is not a debate.

As for, yet again, the comments that tech spec stats alone determine who's actually stronger between characters- This is not rational when comparing characters from not only different years of release but entirely different toylines.

Sixshot has actual quantifiable feats and demonstrations of his abilities. Even as Devil Gigatron the best we can do is use scaling to compare him to other characters within the Car Robots/RID franchise. I did that. Stop making arguments about which character you like more, or making leaps in logic that are not representative of the actual evidence.

As it stands, Sixshot is stronger, faster, tougher, smarter and more skilled with a more varied arsenal. Devil Gigatron at his best only leads Sixshot in transformations, 10 to 7. Even as Devil Gigatron and combined with the Megastar base he couldn't put down Sixshot and Greatshot is as powerful as Star Saber who's a planet-tier warrior.

Btw, the idea that because a character hasn't shown specific limits means that they have no limits is called a no limits fallacy. The fact that Gigatron hasn't shown his exact power levels is a point against him, not for him. He's done virtually nothing and his stats have to be assumed or scaled from characters he's defeated or rivaled in power.

So scaling from Valdigus, JRX, Build King, Super Fire Convoy, God Magnus, Black Convoy, God Fire Convoy and Brave Maximus we can safely assume he's a top tier character in terms of power... within HIS story. Throwing him against a guy that survived being stomped on twice by Metroplex, who can burn an entire planet, smack around G1 Optimus Prime or Ultra Magnus, and survived the exposion of a dwarf planet like Juno? Yeah his stats both shown and assumed wouldn't get him anywhere with Sixshot.
