Absolutely. Better to change the way it works then give the burden to another.

I think they should take MCU as an example and give each movie to a director who can pull off that particular movie. As someone said above, keeping Travis for a long time could create another fatigue.

Yeah. Just do some solo films for the time being. Optimus for sure. Maybe some decepticon ones. Do a couple or so big team films. Then by the time they’re successful do whatever else.

That seems like a good idea but I feel the wreckers deserve better. At their best wreckers is about tragedy, violence and painful learning. It could use a better director than one who can just do the second one really well.

Speaking of other films I’d be really down if they did a villain perspective film about the stunticons as gangsters. But they’re just doing terrible stuff and don’t change accept within their team.

    PREACH!

    I completely agree.

Laika needs its place in the world and it shouldn't be made to conform to everyone's whims and wishes, much like the Transformers franchise shouldn't either.

I think it's great that we got Travis Knight to do what he did and I hope he looks back on this time fondly, but I don't think he needs to make it his life. Would I like to see him return? Sure. Should he have to? No. I wish him the best, I hope he enjoyed it, I thank him for his efforts and I think Lorenzo and co should let him dictate when or if he'll come back, much to the chagrin of the fans. We're fortunate to have what we have, let's not push our luck. lol

It will absolutely cause fatigue. Switching directors worked for the Star Trek franchise. The Motion Picture was a chore in itself, and not fondly looked upon. If they hadn't gone with Nicholas Meyer for The Wrath Of Khan, I think the series would've died in the blink of an eye. Even Leonard Nimoy was a good choice for director. While not all of the movies are exactly hits or what the audience wanted, it's better to have different takes over just one. I'm glad we got to see more people behind the camera than just one, because while Robert Wise was indeed a competent director and by all accounts a generous and sweet man, he really dropped the ball with TMP. Star Trek should be a learning lesson for film franchises. TF didn't get that memo and here we are...

Knock it off. That's absolutely ridiculous talk over a movie made to sell even more toys that the original 30-minute commercial hadn't. I don't like the man's ideas and idiotic word vomit, but that kind of talk makes you worse than he'll ever be. Rise above it.
