Nevermind im ******ed. I found it and the battery was just knocked out of its holder. The light Is working now. Thanks a ton!

 

Is DX9 doing another run of these? TFSource says they are expecting more this month. Is anyone else getting more? (toydojo/thechosenprime)?

 

I hope so, because I ended up having a horrible year last year and had to skip him.  

Hopefully another run won't have any issues this time, too. Or they'll have more. Heh.

 

Big Bad Toy Store has them in stock. Anyone know if they are any good? Are these a new batch?

 

From what I can tell, the later batch should be better, so it's probably safe to order them. Too bad it'd be impossibly expensive for BBTS to ship one my way.

 

I wonder why they killed their Guardian project or so it seems like they did. There has been no mention of one being made. A shame.

There needs to be some official acknowledgement from DX9 whether their Guardian line is going ahead or not, as guys like Rodann etc have truly been shafted if not. Wei Jiang 'Guardian' for me simply isn't an option, too weird looking in my opinion.

 

the only reason Guardian never dropped was because DX9 did not want a repeat of the Gabriel saga. im not saying it won't come out as a maybe oneday. but from what heard that isn't something they want to repeat. that is also the reason why they probably wont be doing anymore big bots.

 

They need to take the guy who left the huge piles of 1st run Gabriel’s exposed to the rain during monsoon season outside and beat him with an ugly stick. He was obviously a FansToys fanboy.

Or it’s dalianjj running around peeing on them at night when the factory was closed. Talk about corporate sabotage!!   

 

That was kinda my assumption since it was just a repaint and they had already released a blue protoype of him. Oh well. For now, we have TG.

 

I'm not convinced they have, though. I mean, maybe they have, but just look at DX9's release schedule lately - they've barely released anything over the past year. It seems Gabriel was too much for them and really hampered their production, but you'd think they would have learnt how to do that sort of figure again without the mistakes this time. Instead, it seems they've either given up or they're just on a go-slow as per usual for them lately. Hopefully it's the latter.

Can't say I'd be surprised if this is the case, but they only have themselves to blame. They really screwed up Gabriel. Okay, I realise a lot of the QC issues were more to do with the factories (to some extent, anyway), but they're responsible for getting this stuff right... and they didn't.

It'd be a real shame if they don't do any more giant Transformers though. I was really hoping they'd give us a Metroplex, at least, if not Scorponok, Fort Max and Trypticon too.

Maybe they just delayed the Guardian repaint to switch to the new factory and get a few other releases out first. I sincerely hope they haven't hurt their reputation too badly with the QC problems, because I think some of their designs and engineering are great.

 

It'll be a real shame if they don't do anymore big bots, this omega is the best option once you iron out the flaws/get a good one and I'd love to see them do as an aesthetically accurate/solid version of Scorponok as they did with this.

 

If they do the Guardian repaint then quit the big bot scene, that's cool as far as I'm concerned.......

Today I received Gabriel and I must say that I love how it looks, very toon accurate and by far one of the best transformers I’ve ever seen.
Unfortunately the light on the arm with the claw doesn’t works, so I wanted to check the battery and to do so I realized that one of the three screws holding the claw/battery cover is broken in half with a piece stuck in the arm  
I tried to write to bbts, does anyone have experience with their customer service?

 

i don't know about bbts personally. but since it is just the claw/rocket it should be as easy as a new part in the mail.

 

By far one of the best customer services imo, I have only had 2 issues on international orders over the years, which they have gone above and beyond to sort without fuss.

 

Just an update because bbts will send me a replacement arm, great customer service!
