This whole subject matter is now confusing. I suggest using the edit function and restructuring your original post.

I think they should simply because some fans love them. I dont like the bayverse at all. More of a g1 fan but for some people the bayverse got them into collecting transformers and they probably feel the same nostalgia about it in the same way that g1 fans do.

Please don't. They've really only just started, and there's a whole wealth of designs to be tapped.

If Hasbro won't give us a Studio Series Devcon, someone's gotta.

In all seriousness though, we're really just starting to get into the swing of good 3rd party movie figures. I'm most excited for those WWII designs from Toyworld.

It really depends on who's making them, what figures, and for what size range. I don't really know if I'm all in for Bayverse MP figures yet. Filling in some blanks on the standard deluxe/voyager side(maybe some larger, like WJ's V2 OS Hound) might be more ideal for me. But I can't swear that I would write off a REALLY great MP take on a Bayverse character at a decent price.

My opinion is let the market decide.

I don't want them, but I don't see why others should be denied options for their collection. Companies will make them if there's enough of a market out there to make it worthwhile to produce these figures.

Presently original 3P molds have been released knight Prime (and it's miles better than Hastak's multiple attempts), Lockdown, Hot Rod, Bonecrusher, Dino and Roadbuster (if he is mostly new). Am I forgetting anybody? There are several more incoming.

That's hardly an exhaustive run of everyone who might benefit from a new and better take (or not have an official toy at all).

Of course there are a number of significantly improved KO's.

3P has only gotten serious about really doing Bayverse right in the last couple years. They may be far from done.

I'm with you. Please add Runamuck & Runabout, Alpha Trion, Devcon and some other minor G1 bots to that list.

They should stop doing primes and Megatrons and bees and diversyfying more.
The problem as usual is not with what they're doing.
It's that they all want to do the same things and nobody is doing anything interesting.
I would love it if someone did original bay-style characters with unusual altmodes, like period vehicles, farm vehicles and such.
But everyone is only ever doing movie Optimus and such.

There are plenty of us who like the Bayverse movies, characters and toys.

I would also imagine it's a massive market given the movie box office totals. People vote with their wallets and even with the TLK disappointing but still high $600m box office (more than most films achieve) this franchise has generated $billions of toys, box office, dvd, digital, merchandise sales for 12 years.

I want to see more 07---19 Movie toys if anything.

G1 is already well served and continues to be.

I would like to see 3P properly start tackling the Unicron Trilogy now as well. I know Armada Prime is being teased.

Wei Jiang / BMB Oversized Unicron (Anniversary Platinum) would sell out for years to come.

The good designs sure. The bad ones no. Lucky for us the vast majority of bay designs were awful so its not such a big concern. UT only really has to put out a handful of those before they'd be more sensible going for the modern era stuff.

Hell no! Unique Toys is the best! They should do some bumblebee stuff! Get on and make a proper VW Bee. And do like a blitzwing then shatter and Dropkick.

personally, I never collected movie figures (aside for ROTF Bludgeon) until studio series came out. Studio Series is hitting all the right notes for me, so I really doubt I would get a 3p Bayverse figure. The only exception is if someone KO'd the KSI Drone and made it in a bunch of colors so I could have an army of KSI drones. If studio series wasn't so great, i'd possibly consider 3P stuff. But with an affordable mainline, my bayverse itch is scratched

Dude I agree. But imagine this. KO leader + grimlock in pastel colours for $4. Then buy a closet infestation full of the fuckers.

I personally hate the Bayverse designs. I won't look at one twice let alone buy one.

3P should DEFINITELY CONTINUE making Bayverse figures.

No group of fans should be denied their love of something.

As long as there is a market for them then they should keep making them.

Personally, I despise the Bayverse stuff (and Beast Wars for that matter) and would never even consider adding one to my collection, but that's no reason other collectors that do like them shouldn't have them. They are not hurting my collection by simply existing.

I'll never buy one, but keep em coming for those who do want them.

I only connect movie toys and now I'm at the point where I'll only buy third party, so I definitely don't want them to stop. I only bought one Last Knight toy and figured I was done collecting until I saw Unique Toys Peru Kill and the new MPMs online. I got them but was so disappointed with MPM Optimus' QC issues that I bought LT2, and I love him. I also got the Black Mamba Nitrogen Ares to go with them. I keep reading about MPM QC problems now I wait for the KOs. And I pass on studio series and wait for the OSKOs because I want them in similar scale with my MPMs...
