It looks like Wave 2 is called Rise of the Combiners, and besides Windblade we're getting Predaking, and a new green pip in the form of an enigma!

Edit: Was I fastest on the draw? Does this mean I get a sweet, sweet news credit?

Woah now. You gatta include Devastator and Bruticus in there don't you? Maybe one of them will get a starter deck? That would be super dope. And that means we'll get a chance at 5/6 wides!

If they want to go most Iconic combiners, and 3 from each faction maybe it would be:

Devastator
Bruticus
Predaking
Defensor
Superion
Computron

And a Menasor starter deck if I'm dreaming, give the cons more cars too.

 

Sounds like there'll be 15-16 non combiner character cards as well, hoping for Bludgeon!

 

Yeah, that is a good point, if the focus on the wave is combiner, the non-combiner cards will likely not have their own gimmicks right? So probably no reflector, soundwave/blaster this wave.

Okay so the first time I saw the image of the five cards put together this is quite literally the very first thing that appeared in my mind.

 

Yikes, I guess I have to collect them all. It’s going to be maddening if any of the combiners is a super rare.

Screw it! I just stick Prowl in as a replacement.

 

I just had a thought, my friends and I have been having a lot of fun drafting the game. Right now the draft format works by discarding and drawing back up to 4 characters then building a deck of 25 stars, 25 characters. Those rules would not be ideal in a wave where the star values are low enough that you'll commonly have teams 5 wide for combiners.

I had wondered how they would handle combiners and I must say I like how they did it.

 

So if they get KO'd in at mode you're screwed.

 

Looks like there may have been a graphic design mistake that implies a six character team in the set. On Divebomb's image there are 6 slots showing where he's supposed to sit, but Predaking only has 5 members and the others have 5 slots on the right.

I hate that only 2 of the 5 have the "Predacon" prefix

 

Cool. I was hoping they would add more mechanics to the game. Can\'t wait to do more live plays of this.
