I've seen Target block Brickseek before, but this has been going on for a handful of weeks, now. I can't tell if it's an issue between the two or a store system issue. Some stores are still having trouble locating them, even though they have them on hand in the back. Worse than that? Sometimes the employees outright turn you down when you ask for them. They refused Quickstrike, last night. Both at Target and Walmart, in Boardman. (Crappy people, rather rude, always.)

If you want a heads up before heading out, Walmart's your best bet right now. Target will require a call ahead or store visit and hope for the best. Sometimes you can get a GSTL (Guest Services Team Leader/CSM) to force the floor worker to go and get them, but not always.

I will say this, before I found Shockwave and Magnus yesterday at lunch at my local Target. I went there on Sunday afternoon and spoke to a girl that was putting away stock and gave her the DCPI numbers of the Siege leaders and she said we do have them, but their buried in pallets of stock items we haven't got to yet. However, she did say "if you give me your name, I can hold them for you" Now, being Target that's a loaded question altogether. But in the end, I found both on the shelf in the toy isle yesterday. I don't know if they have anymore with my name on it or not? I would say not. Target has held 1 item for me in the many years I've been buying from them and that was August of last year.

Most Targets are pretty good about actually doing a hold if they say they will. It's getting them to do it, to begin with, that's the problem. If you find the right person, it works out pretty well. I've gotten it done in both Niles and Canton. Boardman is a no go. They're outright rude.

Dayton mall Target, sugarcreek and Beavercreek Target all held or place on hold some Star Wars Black Series for me a few month ago. Key words are finding the right person in toys/electronics to do it. My case with the Seige leaders, I believe the Target forgot maybe? However, I seen he type my name into phone...SO...not exactly sure what happened, but its ok, at least I have my Shockwave replacement back into my Decepticon ranks.

Target did look however wasn’t able to locate them. The woman in Boardman wouldn’t even look for them for me.

It seems some items are accurate with Brickseek while others aren’t. Could be system confusion because of how Targets system numbers items. Brickseek shows nothing but they actually have them. Ran into a few who “argued with me” by checking the website then would say if the site doesn’t have it we don’t carry it. I’ve heard that line at Walmart before as well, it really depends on the employee you get and how educated they are or willing to actually look. Just remember don’t be rude to them.

That’s the one thing I noticed working at Target, right before reset is a difficult time trying to locate an item whether if it’s a guest looking for it, an in-store pickup, or ship from store order. At my store there were a good 10 pallets fully loaded all put away above where you would need the special power jack to get them down. None of it was scanned away anywhere either so it would show up in our system as we have it. When I was at Toys R Us, it was a bit different since everything was on a smaller scale and organized a bit more efficiently. Hopefully you were able to obtain your leaders!
This 100%, just depends on who you talk to.
For the first part, what I said in reply to Skyclaw appears to have been the situation you ran into, assuming you were referring to Niles. Unfortunately I’m rarely on the sales floor or else I’d be willing to put forth my best effort in assisting. In regard to Brickseek, I unfortunately do not know how it works in regards to Target’s inventory. Wish I had a better answer to that.

Sightings: Niles Target toy reset is complete, there were two of those new Studio Series Bumblebee helmets on the shelf.

I was just in there hoping that any of the new figures would show up.
That's it for now? Just those ugly bb helmets and those dumb botbots?
Any idea when the new stuff will be there?

I believe we did have two cases of the Siege voyagers before the reset. I remember seeing them on one of the reset pallets two weeks ago. At least this is from what I've seen, I'm mostly in the backroom. No honest clue on when more will arrive.

    Where do you find those?

Englewood Walmart has Siege Ultra Magnus. They had Shockwave, but he convinced me it was only logical that I buy him.

I’ll check for you on my way home this morning, they usually do the reset there first thing in the morning.

Oh, I love the people who argue. It's incredible how often they reference the website, on their phone, instead of the scanner device. One actually had the scanner but decided to start looking at the website before I asked them to scan the barcode. Fortunately, he was nice and was like "Oh, yeah! I can do that!" and they weren't on hand at the time, but he was able to get the info. My worst experience with that was with a ...how do I put this delicately... "plus" sized/full figured woman. (Very pretty face, though. Nose ring.) She's one of the website lookers. I ended up having to call the customer service desk and give them the numbers directly and they said "Oh, yeah. We have those!" *smh* (I will add that while she was clearly uneducated about the system, she was incredibly polite and had a bubbly personality. My son, who's extremely shy, was enamored with her. He's 2. He has a type, already. lol)

Wow... They're going full bore with MOTU, there. It's actually not a bad idea. They could rerelease all of the characters, vehicles and playsets at affordable pricing and possibly do a better job. Not my cup of tea, exactly, but I do like construction sets, I'd possibly be interested if they actually put out a legit line with all of the above.

Honestly, most employees don't know how Brickseek works, only that the bosses tell them not to honor it. There's even a warning on the listings page not to mention Brickseek to the employees, either at Walmart or Target. They know they have a bullseye on their back because it ruffles feathers. DPCIs and SKUs (W) are meant to be internal and private and now that customers know what they are, how to use them and when, it can wreak havoc on the stock. I know that both retailers have a rule that if a case is opened, the rest of the items in it must be put on the shelf once 1 or more items in it sell. If there's no shelf space, no tags, it ends up on the shelf haphazardly and screws up resets so they don't have any product available once the reset happens. I see both sides of it. It's not easy working retail, I did it, it can be great but it can also be incredibly unpleasant at times as well.

Once items sell, the system automatically does an audit of the item that just sold, shows they have 0 on hand or on order and it triggers an order, usually. Sometimes human intervention is required. Once it does, it pings the warehouse or distribution center to send a restock...if they have it on hand. The DC or warehouse should have some more on hand, but they may not depending on whether or not they ordered enough from Hasbro or Hasbro sent them enough to begin with. This is the season after Christmas, slowest time of the year and most people are still recovering from Christmas, so they might only send a small amount to the stores just to tide them over until the next wave comes in February. With that comes more wave 1, which makes it seem like everything is overstocked but they're really just doing their best to burn through the allocation before clearance or the next reset, whichever comes first.

Probably 3 or so weeks. That's usually the time frame I've seen between restocks.

Someone a few weeks ago was looking for Dinobot Slash in stores. A few days back, I saw one suddenly at the Cin Day Walmart on clearance for $7. Today, I saw another for $5. Keep searching, as it looks like the last of PotP is randomly being dropped into clearance as Seige approaches. Even saw a pair of Moonracers languishing on pegs for $9 each.

This isn't a sighting, but if anyone can help assist with Star Wars Black Series Archive X-Wing Luke I would appreciated it. I keep hearing they'll showing up at Target and Walmart. I haven't seen them in my area yet. If you find one PM. Thanks!
