I changed the bright red from before to a less saturated one, i think it looks more realistic now, less like a toy. I also painted the torso in g1 style. I painted the transparent parts as well as you can see. This is pre-coating and wash/weathering.

Wow, thats some amazing work so clean! And thats the face paint job I was hoping Zeta would do since there artwork did show that.

But that wash and weathering is such a nice touch!

 

There was some discussion a page or two back. He said he'd considered it but decided on blue for the toy face. I guess he didn't actualy say about the toon head though.

 

No, I want to stick to the toon with this head, but gold would look very good though.

Thank you! I haven’t done the wash and weathering yet, the effects you’re seeing are from the black pre-shading. I’ll post an update in a few days with the weathering done.

I think you’re referring to the paintjob of Orion2703 a few pages back, that’s not me though   His blue painted eyes came out great indeed. I painted both heads, the toon one as you see on the picture, with red eyes (unchanged so they still light up), and the alt head I’ve painted in IDW style with blue eyes but I haven’t assembled that one yet. I’ll show you soon

Ohhhhh ok, I thought the pre-shading was the wash lol But your doing a fantastic job once its done Im going to email Zeta maybe Zeta will get ideas and do a "premium" version like TW has done to there Constructor.

Happen to me recently UPS had my order in transit supposed to delivered that day but was stuck with no update in the same status for 3 days when it was in my area to drop off lol.....very annoying.

 

I called UPS and a couple of extremely nice and helpful (surprisingly lol) employees basically confirmed he’ll be here today

Ah, cool. Sorry about the mixup. I'm way too lazy to do a proper paintjob but I plan on painting Superion's gold parts - that orange is just yucky - and I'm'a try a gold foil on the eyes to try to get a chrome look, similar to MP-08 Grimlock's eyes: my absolute favorite look for MP eyes.

I called because it was shown as out for delivery yesterday with scans to “prove” it and it never showed up for no apparant reason
Also maybe just maybe if a tracking system isnt accurate I might be worried about not recieving my $140 purchase

Years ago my apartment was at the end of a UPS route. If the driver was taking to long and wanted to quit for the day he'd frequently scan stuff as "delivery attempted, no one home."
