Great figure. Very impressive. I was just sorta meh about it but in hand is awesome. Everything tabs in nicely, except that head platform, which has been mentioned before.

The only nitpicks I have are the forearm gaps, and it would be nice if it had wrist swivels. He is little short, but consistent with the siege line and modern voyagers.

Nope... no tab on mine. Running change to fix the problem maybe?

I think it looks more like a leftover plastic from the molding process than a running change

I have that molding point but I don’t think it’s doing anything. That said I have no issues with looseness in that neck flap which is quite nice. Just seems like there is plenty of friction in that joint.

Yup, really looking at it it's just fortuitous mould flash.

I also have elected to just leave the sword out and rotate the fusion cannon and turret so the cannon is the tank barrel. Though I also removed the blades from the gun (since it's cooler just as a gun, IMO) so I wonder if I can find a good place to store it on the robot mode...

Picked this up for my son earlier in the week and basically haven't put it down since. Very nice figure. The head thing is a pretty minimal or nonexistent annoyance on our copy...the joint for the plate his head attaches to is very tight, so the head doesn't move at all unless I make it move.

I was most surprised by how solid the tank mode is. "Cybertronian tank" is usually code for "shit alt mode," but I enjoy this one quite a bit. Very similar to Deluxe Warpath (a very good old figure) or Maketoys Hardhead, but with a centered turret. Very beefy and solid. Other than the feet not hiding well in the back, no signs of the usual gripe with this kind of alt mode (robot on his belly doing push-ups).

Robot mode is very nice too. The upper body proportions are a tiny bit off (the legs and feet are fantastic), so it's not quite the face melting excellence of Prime, but IMO still easily the best CHUG representation of G1 Megatron. The CW Leader was my previous champ but the articulation was quite limited, and the figure looked like ass in any "blasting fusion cannon" poses due to the shoulder joint design. No such problems present here.

Can you do a pic of siege megs' head on rioter's body? The greys don't match but it looks like it'd be about the right size.

I'm perfectly happy with my TR Megatron-however it doesn't seem right to pair my Siege Prime with that figure (plus, my TR Megs already has a counterpart in the TR voyager Prime) , so I got this guy too, and I don't regret it.
He really looks cool, I thought the wide torso would bother me but this is not the case in hand. The sword gun certainly is odd, but I like how well painted it is, and how the blades can serve as those side things like in a railgun or something (I don't know the technical term lol)
Ankles are odd. One ankle I'm able to lock/unlock with ease, the other is a bit more of a pain.
One issue I've read here is the head sinking during play, this is not so with my copy; the panel it's on is tight and not floppy at all, so I'm happy I don't have that issue.
Instructions are garbage, I love how the legs collapse to form the rear tank treads but the instructions don't convey the steps well.

I was so ready to acetone the BD away as soon as I got these, but I'm surprisingly okay with it.

You may wanna hold back on using acetone if you do ever get damage you hate. I don't think the plastic is going to like that.

Acetone melts plastic. At best it'll permanently alter the plastic's finish.

What is everyone doing to remove the "battle damage?" I was trying to use 70% rubbing alcohol, but it's not coming off for anything.

I used 91% alcohol, but it shouldn't make that much of a difference. The battle damage paint is applied pretty heavily, so it took a while to wear through it all. It helps to let the alcohol sit for a bit and activate the paint before rubbing it away. It probably took me on the order of an hour to remove all the paint.

Thanks for the advice! Also used some tweezers to grab some paper towels and really scrub the area. Gave myself a hand cramp, but got most of the "battle damage" off the chest, head, & arms. :D

Yep, just takes time and effort. I had to alternate between paper towels and Q-tips depending on the area.
