I wish I could afford this figure. He just looks so dynamic and expressive. Makes me wish Bandai had the license to do Robot Spirits of the BB Movie designs. I'd love an accurate, highly posable figure that wasn't prohibitively expensive.
Yes, there will be. I have about 125 shots done on this white BG showing angles and poses and close ups and comparisons etc. Going to do the colored light style stuff now, then all will go up together. Just shared a couple early here in the thread.
It's good. It's holding weight in lots of angles, no tip overs even in crazy poses. Didn't seem to have stress at any key points. The connector that goes into Bee's backside has ridges, and you slide it into the end of pole on base where you want it. Like clicky joints, but you aren't supposed to actually click them once in. Depending on the pose, that peg can slide out from weight/gravity. All this being said, for figure and base - this is a pre-production sample. It was complete, packaged and all that, so very close, but not 100% final. Tolerances on figure and base will be tweaked for final version. Things I'm experiencing may be different once released.
OK, fancy pants round one is done. Will be posting this up in full tomorrow. Go back in for more fun stuff later on. I could mess with this thing for a week solid.
Wow! Awesome pictures! Fantastic! Well done! So is this a test sample provided to you? How did you get it....I thought it isn’t released yet? But could be wrong also
Wow, the scenery and lighting evoke the perfect mood. These are fantastic pictures with my personal favorite being the first one. It makes me want to see the film again. The figure itself looks great. Man, the range of possibility looks endless.
Oh please do tell! I was actually planning on getting a stand in for Charlie once this guy wide releases. Good to know he scales well with 3.75 figures. Do you know what line she's from?
Yeah... I'm going to have to pick him up. I think this Bee design might be one of my favorite Transformers designs. Maybe even my favorite, period. It's so good. Does anyone know how much he'll cost? Edit: It's right in the original post. I'm an idiot.
It's a combo of two figures from Locker Toys Zombie Lab series. Body from one, head from another. Locker Toys Action Figures, Statues, Collectibles, and More! Jeana and Oliva I believe. And, in normal light, the skin tones are different. That's why most of my shots with her are dark and face away from camera. Plus she's a little older compared to Charlie from movie. For shelf display I think we all need a bit more research. Or maybe 3a can help us out
That's not bad at all as a good base! Thank you for the info. I was actually thinking about using a Mcfarlane Walking Dead figure.
This looks great. I may have to make an exception to my rule of not buying non-transforming figures. Is there anywhere to preorder this in the UK?
i missed the first batch preorders, wondering if i should order through bamba for a q2 release, or through sideshow for a q3 release since i have some credit from previous purchases. anyone know if sideshow has the same support as bamba if any defects are found?
Great, thank you! And d'oh, I've even used them before so I'm not sure why I didn't check there. Preordered! I'm only sad that I have to wait until May.
I have one on order from Amazon. They won't get them in til September, but I have other stuff to get that's more important than a toy, so om okay with having a few extra months to put back for it. I generally don't like non-transforming figures, but Hasbro and Takara are both suffering from bad design styles and poor quality control. I'm okay with getting a $3 BotBot that I have to monkey with to get it right. Not $80 to $250+ adult collectibles. If I want a great looking movie Bumblebee, I'll get this. I can spend $30 for the 1/24 scale car to park next to it.
