Agreed. Plus I imagine him doing a wrestling style elbow drop off the top turnbuckle with it

Is there anyone who already bought Planet X's Ismenios that's also going to pick this guy up? I'm still on the fence...

I think PX's dragon mode looks better, and MMC's has a better robot mode.

Duno if I want both of them, though it would be cool to have both of them battling each other over who's better :lol

I was in for MMC and got Planet X's seing the finished product and reviews. Planet X's is a home run for me. MMC is no longer on the buy list for me. Wasn't too pleased about having to buy another figure for the G1 look. Planet X' will have a $35 upgrade kit for that. Doesn't really matter because I doubled down on Planet X's because it was that good.
Planet X stepped up their game immensely .

MMC is still busy with their kickass Sky Lynx which I patiently await a release for. Love some MMC, but Planet X won out for me here.
If MMC was to redesign and 12" upscale their G1 Version of this between now and the end of this year (set release date); I might take another look.

Great time to be a collector.

I already have the PX one and the build quality is higher than any of MMC's products IMHO, but I am still willing to buy this one provided they do some recolor ala their exclusives. I am guessing zero chance of that happening though given there's been no recolor for their Carnifex.

I keep going back and forth between this guy w/ the add-ons and FT Hydra. I know I’ll end up with both but who to get first?

Agreed, Planet X really improved across the board. I recently got some of their dinobot series but they really went above and beyond with Ismenios.

I only have MMC's Kultur and Ater Beta but I feel like their build quality is pretty good. I really hope someone does a comparison video with Ismenios and D-Zef eventually.

i'll get their recolors of both the IDW and G1 mold but i bought the first original color, i did the same thing with TM2 Megs, Mega Doragon got the red so any other "TM2 Megs" will be recolors when i buy them

well everyone anticipates a red gheist from the g1 remold, there were ideas thrown around for recolors on here for the idw so i'd say wait and see we may bet something awesome like the anime/model figure repaint they did for the plane drift guy(i cant think of his name)

Still hoping on a BWII Galvatron repaint! Probably not gonna happen, but it'd be cool. Some of the Zoids repaints thrown around in this thread were also really cool. Not a lot of love for the Japanese exclusive BW series these days so I'd probably guess something inspired by one of those is going to happen. That and he's lavender...

I'd be ok with that if they ignored the gold drill thing, I think the hardest thing will be the idw repaint but mmc does a great job of making some inspiring repaints even at 5 and 6 sometimes they're pretty legit

Yeah, I'm open to most of them...I have a not-so-secret love of obscure repaints (see: username). I love BW2 and BW Neo, so any possibility of something from those is a something I'd jump on. I'd also really like a Gigan (from Godzilla) repaint/remold from the IDW mold, but that's probably a bit out there.

I just got PXs and I strongly suspect that MMCs will be a lot less back heavy. I will miss those folded up arms on his back though.

Is this guy worth getting for me?

The only MMC figure that I own is Carnifex because I like its tall and lean proportions. I intend to get the Supermax Warden as it complements Carnifex. I don't have any intent to get any of the smaller figures from MMC.

Now, I am just wondering whether D-Zef IDW ver and MMC Dai Atlas would fit the above aesthetics and level of articulation? These two guys seem to be on the thick side upper torso wise.

I am always partial to tall and lean Transformers like Maketoys MTCD.

Your best bet would probably be Hydra if he is still readily available.

No updates for now but it is progressing nicely. We still have a few figures to release before D-Zef, but he's coming!

Here's a digibash of D-Zef Continuum. No idea of anyone has already done this.
