If the official statement is no more right now then that's how things are right now. Circumstance could change but it sounds to me like we just don't have the time or money to spend doing another run of him this year which makes sense given how much slow and costly stuff mmc has to make for 2019 as is.

 

There was some chat on FB about a month ago, I guess they lost their ass on this guy, he should have been far more expensive or something? Did anyone else see that?

I managed to find a website for a reputable shop in Singapore called La Tendo that had one in stock yesterday. Cost was $160 shipped after the exchange rate, so I snapped it right up and it shipped a few hours later. I do wish they had more so I could've posted it here for you all :/

 

Seller Landyrock on ebay (bought from, solid) has one for 165. I was eyeing it as it’s the cheapest I can find, but I really don’t need two Tyrantron. Better he goes to someone who has none.

MMC R-28 Tyrantron

 

I took him out of the shelf today. What an amazing presence from a beautiful design! So much personality in him, for me it is easily one of the best MMC's work.

I wish he had arm covers and a "gun" that was in Lost Light, he would be just perfect...

 

Sounds like we need a Tyrantron Asterisk. Big plus if it's a "gun" that transforms into a medical kit.

 

Fan made design of the fusion canon he had at the end of MTMTE when vs. Tarn, Overlord and Deathasaurus: Tyrantron Canon by sinvraal on Shapeways - It also includes a plug for the other arm.

It's more expensive but you can order it in "Smooth Fine Detail Plastic" and spray it black. Should look the bees knees. There is a photo of it printed in standard detail plastic and attached to Tyrantron here: MMC Reformatted version of Megatron

I'll be getting this in the not too distant future, spraying it black and adding some red/dark grey detailing to break up the plain black. Going to try to capture this look:

i got the cannon and it is really good. I sprayed it with either glossy Rustoleum Black or Rustoleum Hammered Black. not sure, but it looks sweet

 

I think this is one of my favorite MMC IDW tributes.

 

Yeah, I am very surprised MMC does not give us arm covers.
