Makes me wonder how long Walmart will want to carry the reissue line since they're having to mark everything down.

Definitely isn’t a good sign, but most of these resissues are overpriced or uneccessary. Besides the minibots. The people who care about G1 stuff like this would track down previous releases cuz they are cheaper than the new ones!

 

Nothing made it that far in CA. The only thing I've ever seen marked down was Hot Rod online. Starscream, even at full price, FLEW off the shelves. I saw it only 3 times, all early in the morning at opening and never again. Even though Hot Rod was marked down online, it remained full price in stores. You can still go to some stores out here and see quite a few, but no markdowns.

I think all Walmarts are independent of one another and have their own separate clearances.

Since it says "Limited Stock" they might not actually have any (in my personal experience, 4/5 times they do not). One way to check:
1. on the Brickseek page, just under where you put in the SKU number there is a link to "View on Walmart.com" - click on that to go to the Walmart product page
2. On the Walmart product page should have a section that says whether it's available at a store nearby.
3. You can (sometimes) edit the location - manually enter the zip code for the store that was showing "Limited Stock" on BS and see if Walmart.com shows it as available for pick TODAY from that store. If not (it would say pick up from that store in a few days), then the store doesn't have it. If it does say it's available today, they MIGHT have it - but you would still have to go there to see, because Walmart.com won't let you buy it online at that specific store's clearance price.

 

The hot rods in my area are not $5 according to brickseek. But devastators are $35

 

My local Wal-Mart has PoTP Legends on clearance for $3. YMMV.

 

I went to several Walmarts today looking for G1 Optimus Prime (which said they had him online) but no luck. Argh.

I just found this: Generation 1

So, G1 Optimus Walmart reissue is $70 for this retailer and $50 at Walmart. G1 Soundwave is also $70 for this retailer - so maybe he is $50 at Walmart as well?

 

Walked into Walmart to pick up some lawn fertilizer. Yeah, it's spring now here I'd say   and picked up the last remaining G1 Prime. Everything else is gone. Place looked barren.

 

Jealous! My hunt continues...

 

My thing is Walmart’s in my area are hold s lot of their stuff hostage because of their resets.
