For me it's Revenge of the Fallen, by far. I think it finds itself a bit after the adventure finally kicks in (around the time they go find Jetfire), but overall it's mostly boring and just doesn't have a lot of good moments. Of all the movies, I think ROTF is the least substantial and the most disposable.

Dark of the Moon is my second least-favorite. It has some good stuff, but overall it's way too long and (again), a good portion of it is somewhat boring.

If you watch it as a stand alone movie, it isn't bad.
But as the fifth installment of a series, its beyond awfull.

    Age of Extinction.

About as close to a pathetic attempt of a reboot except stopping just short of it. Prime is an absolute dumbass who goes 100% Poochie at the end without actually knowing where the hell he is going. The most overhyped villain in the franchise is nothing more than a mouthpiece for a completely separate group of bad guys who virtually exist in name only beyond Quintessa. The dinobots just sort of exist and have no connection to actual dinosaurs despite the film title or the fact dinosaurs were used to make bullshitonium. Humans somehow developed more advanced matter transformation than the robots litterally built from the stuff.

And the worst part is how spineless it all was because they made all these changes with no inclination to follow through - it all got reverted in TLK. And TLK is trash, but it wouldn't even have happened if AOE had not first thrown the middle finger to everything the films had established before it for litterally no reason besides trying to pull the most half-assed soft reboot in history.

AOE. I feel it drags on the most and has the most...misplaced or out of place...moments. Out of all the films, I think the weaknesses of the "shoot for the edit" philosophy are most on display here.

It has to be TLK. The moment I finished watching this movie, it already dawned onto me that it wasn't a good movie.

These are my old reasonings that I've posted before in another thread. (I adjusted the reasonings for each of them)

While none of the characters are as bad as the Twins. Some are just useless like Izzy, Sqweeks and baby Dinobots. Plus there is a lot of swearing in between so why bring in a kid audience? Why have these characters at all?

Marky Mark is the Last Knight....Seriously, this is the direction you give for a human character?

Megatron and Optimus, our main stars are potrayed poorly on screen. Optimus was so absent with no character development given while Megatron is still second to none. Frank Welker and Peter Cullen's talents are wasted. Further solidfying why we hate the human focus to this day because the humans are dumb characters. Talk about a waste of potential for both of these guys.

Hokey humor that we asked Bay to stop doing makes a comeback; I just think Bay doesn't have it in him to be consistent with fixing complaints. We told him, don't make jokes about stuff like Cade asking Vivian about the way she dresses.

We are five movies in and we are still learning history? While the King Arthur stuff looked cool it felt forced just to insert the Knights of Cybertron. Just look at the IDW G1 with them. Also you failed to follow up on what Lockdown said about them.

Unicron was a missed opportunity to tie in things from the previous films on why Transformers keep coming back to Earth. This isn't the best idea either but at least that would have been the thing to make us go, "That's why the Fallen hates Earth; why Sentinel chose it...."

Action while cool to look at is lackluster. Even the best fight sucked (Optimus and Bee) because it is two of the main characters going at each other and there was no emotional core to it. ROTF had the forest fight that blows this fight away. Too much military showcase in the end and it's on Cybertron.

The movie acts like I don't know certain things happened in the past. Like Galvatron into Megatron or where were the Creators? The plural ones? Movieverse fans were left heartbroken when things don't follow up based on the last movie.

Decepticons wasted. At least with ROTF, I didn't have to worry about Decepticons with character all too much.

Finally. It is hokey as hell. Some of the stuff they wrote felt like it was done when they were high. Given that Akiva Goldsman contributed, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the one to put in a Da Vinci Code act.

Also I wanted to like this movie adds to the suffering.

The Last Knight. AoE and RotF were bad, but at least they were entertaining. TLK was just boring. The characters were boring, the plot was worse than even RotF and it was just so bad. Not to mention it ruined Onslaught and Megatron. In 2007, Megatron was able to kill Jazz and give Optimus a run for his money. In 2017, Megatron gets beaten up by Cade with some explosives. He also works for someone else, again. Then he fights Optimus, gets the upper-hand, then stops to say “We were brothers once!” And gets kicked out a wall and dies. TLK was also advertised to be more story-driven and ended up being the worst movie of all five.

The worst transformers are the Decepticons. Their whole approach is totally counter-productive and just causes a lot of problems for everyone. They should be more considerate.

The Last Knight. Say what you will about the other movies but this is the only one I found boring. Not even the marketing was interesting to me since I could tell from reading things online and watching trailers I could tell that the movie was going to have too many plots. Also, I know all movies have had characters they hyped up but they never really did anything such as Shockwave, Devastator or the Dinobots. But The Last Knight is full of characters like this even the humans suffer from Lennox, Simmons, and Izzy all hyped but they didn't really do anything noteworthy.

Legit question: Why? If you are serious, I'm pretty curious because I know saying the 1986 movie is the worst movie is probably the most controversial opinion someone can have in this fandom.

It's a trite, boring rip-off of Star Wars that's more blatant in the fact that it exists only to sell toys than any of the Bay movies. For all their perceived flaws, the live-action movies are at least entertaining, for either the right or wrong reasons depending on what scene and movie. The 1986 film is just painfully mediocre and forgettable.

I wouldn’t say it isn’t memorable. I can quote the dialogue for at least half of it verbatim. Is it a good film assessed on cinematic merits? Not really but I’ll watch it (or Bumblebee) over pretty much any of the Bay films because I just prefer the way the Transformers act and behave in it.

You gotta admit a significant percentage of that is because Hasbro crams "iconic" quotes from it down everyone's throats whenever they can.

TLK. The lack of Optimus/Nemesis Prime hurts me everytime I watch it
