Why won't Hasbro accept that transforming IS a gimmick?

Slap a autobot or decepticon symbol on a random plastic figure, up the price by 10 bucks and stick it in a hasbro package. I just created a transformer!

I don’t mind simple transformations and gimmicks for the young’uns, but this is insulting. Kids have the mental capacity to transform toys. I will buy my youngest Rescue Bots and he loves em. These cyberverse toys are lessons in halfassed effort.

These are ahead of their time.

Theyre Drunkformers who only partially transform so they can still hold their beer. Sometimes too hammered to remember how to transform.
Collect them all and put them in an AA meeting display.

I have cyberverse scout class Bumblebee , Grimlock and Starscream and i think the robot modes look great . These are no different .

That said , i knew what to expect with these halfformers and it was still disappointing then i tried the gimmick modes .

The worst thing is the price . They are way more expensive than the should be . The legion class figures are much better value .

Then buy the larger figures if your kids don't like them. But I've seen plenty of kids happily carrying around the simpler stuff (Robot Heroes, Crash Combiners, One-Steps, etc) going in and out of daycare.

The Cyberverse "legion" figures cost more than the current Battlemaster figure and has more going on than it. They're also simpler than the Micromaster sets, and their cheaper price reflects that.

I’ve warmed up to the show and voices. Now each time I see a post like this I’m ready to bite and get a representation of each show character... and then I see they don’t fully transform and abort.

I was really hoping to walk away with at least the new characters in a passable toy, but sheesh. This whole line may go by with each size class released and me still not get any.

Did I not just say I don’t mind the simple stuff for the young’uns? I never said my kids didn’t like those other toys either. How did you misinterpret what I said so badly.

Maybe what I should have, to put it simply, these “Foldformers” suck, and children are capable/deserve more than this.

    You literally called them "insulting."

    Anyway....
Go buy them Siege figures then. Also you should probably go back and look at G1 because for as much as people complain about "simple" Transformers like this you'd wonder how Transformers ever caught on in the first place with stuff like the Action Masters, Throttlebots, Sparkers, and Jumpstarters.

That's literally all this is. Cyberverse doesn't exist in a vacuum. There's Rescue Bots, Bee Movie, and Studio Series/WfC as well. Instead of it being one giant Brand that has multiple sub categories of figure with different levels of complexity, they've split them off into sub brands with clearly defined features.

Want the more complex features? Siege/WfC.
Looking for simpler Transformers with chunkier parts? Rescue Bots.
Looking for something to help kids who're transitioning from one to the next? Cyberverse.

    This isn't that hard.

It isn’t, yet you’re overly complicating the matter. I don’t even understand the point you’re trying to make. Maybe what you don’t understand is that I’m replying to Ratchet and Shadow Striker’s Scout Class figures, and not Cyberverse as a whole. Hey, if you wanna waste your money on these overpriced Happy Meal toys then be my guest.

While you’re at it maybe you should look into G1 cuz, FYI, G1 toys actually transformed into vehicles, gadgets, etc. Fast Action Battlers actually transformed into cars, trucks, jets, etc. One Steps actually transformed into cars, trucks, jets, etc. So tell me, what do Scout Class Ratchet and Shadow Striker turn into? Hmm? I can tell you that Scout Class Megatron looks like a robot that “transforms” into a robot sitting in a silver bathtub.

Ratchet and Shadow Striker are part of Cyberverse and their figures are a reflection of the line itself.

I know, and I'm embarrassed for you. Because you admit you have no idea what you're talking about yet are waving that around as a point of pride rather than an opportunity to learn.

Honestly the day and age we live in. We should be able to have a actual working sound wave generation 1 remake and sound blaster. We could have actual working ones that light up. Have speaker ports through Bluetooth. That's what I want to see come out in 2019. I want to see rubber tires on some of these trucks not the plastic ones. We're paying $50 a toy sometimes and it's all plastic give us a little more bang for our buck is the way I feel. my post may have nothing to do with the actual page it's posted on but I'm just trying to get my view out there

You honestly think that these pathetic No Step changers are a reflection of the ENTIRE Cyberverse line?!? Not the One Steps? Not the Warrior Class? Not the Ultimate class? These “mid transformation” toys in a product called TRANSFORMERS are the reflection on the line itself? You know those other classes have gimmicks, fully transform, and are kid friendly, yet these half-formers reflect the line as a whole. So basically you’re saying that the Cyberverse line is a cheap, half assed, cash grab, designed to disappoint children... Now that I said that out loud. Maybe you’re right, but that’s not to say I don’t like my Ultimate Megatron and Prime or my Warrior Class Shockwave.

You never answered my question. What do these so called Transformers transform into? You never answered cuz there is no answer. They don’t transform into anything.

At least you care enough to be embarrassed for me cuz I can’t say the same about you. I admitted that I have no idea what you’re saying and after you said that the scout class is a reflection, and not an extension, of Cyberverse, I understand your, let’s say, mentality. I’ll put my point in even simpler terms for you. As simple as I can get it. The Cyberverse Scout Class line sucks. That’s the “one-step changer” version of my point. That is the point you seem to think I don’t understand.

The Cyberverse Scout Class line sucks.

Now what am I supposed to learn? Or what is it you are trying to teach me?
