The only I would say about Jetfire is I wish he were a little bigger, but the combined mode looks solid, and it's a great to see that they didn't sacrifice any of the two figures for it.

This is not common knowledge but Actar has a few special powers, and this is one of them.

 

Wow that looks ugly. Would be cool if FWI rereleased their old jet power add-on.

 

I'm not a fan of the combined mode, but Jetfire looks good as a standalone figure. The jet mode kibble isn't that bad when he's transformed properly.

I might pick him up at brick and mortar if he ever goes on rollback.

 

I thought it was from the interview with Takashi Kunihiro a few months back, but I can't seem to find it in there. Basically I recall a designer (either him or someone else) saying in retrospect that making ROTF Jetfire combine with Optimus only compromised the former figure, which they regretted.

 

I like how it uses partsforming (the same goes for Siege Ultra Magnus, which I know will upset a lot of people) but they needed to do something with Prime\'s feet, even if it was turning the lower leg around.

 

You can have all the high tech crap in the whole and there will be parts left over. As you can see...

Nice pics. The combined mode looks a whole lot better all of a sudden. Not cool enough to buy 2 jetfires for displays sake but still cool. Question though...didnt Prime drop already the armor when he executed the fallen ?

No, he did not. He had pieces of it ripped off by the Fallen (one engine for example) and probably Megatron. He drops the Jetpack after the fight

 

Yeah, while Prime stands, in ridiculously epic fashion, next the pyramids.

 

I'll get one for combined mode, but really want a separate Jetfire as well, as I think it is miles better than the original, but damn it, at that point I may as well get two full sets. Skipped the first Optimus since I like HFTD better, and still like that one better than this.

 

Jetpower Prime will be mine...

 

Can we see clearer pictures of the combined mode holding the gun (i.e. some pictures where the gun isn't pointed at the camera)?

These are the first pictures I have seen of the gun at all--there are two Youtube reviews of this toy, and neither of them figured out the gun. I guess it's not in the instructions? Weird they'd forget to include this.

 

Can anyone explain how it partsforms exactly?
