I gotta agree. That direction would make the most money for the studio. Seemed like a lot of people didn’t like the fantasy stuff in TLK, so if you remove that, yet continue the story, plus add Shia and Megan, I think the domestic box office would do very well. A lot of hardcore TF fans wouldn’t like it, but hardcore TF fans don’t bring in all the money. “Nostalgia” would also factor in. Shia hasn’t been in a movie since 2011. Megan hasn’t been in one since 2009. Bringing characters back spikes interest.

 

Good points, but it's not even about bringing about just about any characters. Barricade and Lennox and Wheelie and Simmons came back for TLK, and that didn't do anything in terms of keeping the box office steady. Part of that may have been how they were used in the movie, but I also don't think any single one of those guys coming back was going to interest anyone but some people here and there. That's why I think suggestions that Sideswipe or Jolt or Bumblebee's version of Blitzwing need to come back are kind of pointless, because other than some fans here and there nobody is going to the films to specifically see any of those robots I just mentioned.

The difference between any of those guys I just mentioned and Sam and Mikaela is that none of those others were ever the main faces of the live action movies. As a Transformers fan, I'm not heartbroken by their absence, but I also recognize that perhaps the average teenager or college student might feel differently. So maybe future Transformers films where we get Sam and Mikaela fighting with Hound and Hot Rod and Dinobots against Megatron, the Creators, Unicron, and their minions would be a near perfect blend of the older films and newer ones rather than the haphazard way things like Lennox and Barricade and various Easter eggs were used in TLK.

 

Optimus Prime focus, starting with him and Bee splitting ways. Focus on what makes him Prime, maybe have him meet with someone like Cade but not Cade. Someone else suggested that there's a Decepticon assassin after him. Make this Deadlock and the two are in a game of Cat and mouse as per the other posters suggestion.

However you also focus on Prime and this humans connection. Have him be someone that may have been in the mil6but has since retired and the two bond over their units and families. Deadlock sees Prime protecting this human and others, and eventually you have him find either Ironhide or Ratchet.

You play on a flashback about what happened with the Decepticons on Cyberton and you hint at Megatron being on Cyberton not earth yet. Though you can have flashbacks showing the two being allies at first against say the quints or something else, and then their dissolution of that friendship.

Deadlock has a partner, Lock Down, and Primes actions and words get to him, Deadlock switches sides realizing that he believes in the Autobot cause more. The human we learn is a guy nicknamed Sparkplug, maybe give him the name Sam as a nod to the 07 movie. And the group of four now stop Dead Lock. He manages to escape and get word to Megatron in a closings credit moment about Prime being alive and on Earth and we see Megatron plan to head for it.

 

I don't think Shia would come back. Seems like he's on a whole different path now trying to get ''serious'' acclaim in the industry.

 

I get your point, but...how is that working out for him as a big name actor? Money talks, and studios and stars need it to stay alive in the industry. I mean even some non-famous actors can make a comfortable living.

But I think, if push came to shove, that Shia would likely come back, and Megan Fox almost certainly given that time has kind of healed her comments about Bay being similar to a notorious 20th Century leader. Shoot, Megan Fox even has that "Legends of the Lost" show where she delves into the "Ancient Aliens" aspects of archaeology at times!

 

If the Bayverse was still going, I'd say, "How Megatron met The Fallen".

 

but would it include the friendship between Megatron and Optimus?

 

How about a romcom for the next movie?

I liked the satellite Soundwave idea in ROTF. Maybe they could do something with that.

 

To anyone actually entertaining the notion of TLK sequel, you aren't being very realistic, are you? They will NEVER do that. Whether or not you think these bad movies are actually good, it's going to lose money and they know it.

Everything from now on can only connect to Bumblebee, so just keep your expectations within that sphere.

 

Here's the thing for those wanting a TLK sequel -you all do know that if Unicron awakens, as was established in TLK, then his awakening (since he was buried underneath the Earth's crust, mantle, and into the other layers of the planet) would mean the end of the entire Earth and all life on it, right?

 

The Transformers themselves. . .As well as a complete reboot. . .

 

A movie about a decepticon for once.

 

How about we get a movie where the Autobots are scattered across the US and it's a race between Optimus/Bumblebee and Sector 7 to reach them before the Decepticons who were following them reach Earth?

I would find that fun and lets them bring in the Autobots one at a time before a final fight

 

I wouldn't include that dynamic because it both differentiates from the Bayverse and that character friendship is getting a bit tiresome after the past ten years.

Is a little hard to try to said what is next,but if we rely on the bumblebee story...I would leave these titles:

1-Optimus Prime (It could be start from the cybertron war and continue in the year 1988)

2-Cybertron (The same like the first option but with infinite possibilities)

3-Decepticons (They deserve an opportunity)

 

but in the Bayverse Optimus calls Megatron, his brother. ( assume you are going with the idea that Bumblebee is a reboot.)

It should tie up the loose ends in The Last Knight and give the series a proper ending
